The HD-970 is an 8x oversampling CD player, and consequently it really does give a warm and natural sound. It has great clarity and punch, and succeeds in making music sound very three dimensional and colourful. After listening to the HD-970 my MP3 player really does sound harsh and nasty by comparison! The HD-970 looks great too, with a sleek and glossy appearance, and is nice to use with its own remote control. All in all, it's a truly great CD player!
