i enjoyed the film it was a worth while dvd to get.. ive had a film night and that was one we all enjoyed , i herad so much about the film so i got it for my self .......

I recently started to read, which I haven't done for a long time. A friend of mine, gave me 'The Devil Wears Prada' book. I started to read this and couldn't put it down. So I decided to buy the DVD to watch.

Alot of my friends who I have been to the cinema with to see various films, often said 'the book is so different to the film', and I never really knew what they meant before I read 'The Devil Wears Prada' book then watched the DVD, they are quite different.

I liked the character Andrea in the book very much, also Miranda, played by Meryl Streep in the DVD.

I have several other books on my shelf to read, which after I've read I will be looking for the DVD to watch after.

I have since watched the movie 3 more times, and have leant it to a couple of friends to watch and my mum!

I think this DVD is definitely a chick flick.

I Love it i must say. It's the life most of us want to live but somehow not able to. It's fun to live in it as you watch the the movie. Love Meryl Streep to bits, all that jacket swinging and dumping on her assistants, classic exec. The fashion is cool too. All that backstabbing isn't nice, but that's how the real world operates, you get to find out the hard way. All in all, i'll say i give it a 7 out of 10. I have watched it many times since i bought it. If you're thinking about buying this film, go for it. It's worth the money. Great for lazy evenings in.

Very well cast and very well executed. A touch predictable but still a good film. Not just for women because of the movie theme (fashion). Well worth a watch.

I bought this dvd for my 12 year old daughter because she had been watching and enjoying 'Ugly Betty' and having watched the film myself i knew she would enjoy it to. Its not a great epic but its a good saturday afternoon chic-flick movie with an inevitable happy ending. the cast is good and Glen Close acts well, i would recommend it as a dvd to buy.

With a screen icon like Meryl Streep in the driving seat, ably supported by a case with impeccable timing and displaying the 'fashionista temperament' to a tee, this film should have been great.

It could have been great but, in my opinion, it just wasn't 'biting' enough. It wasn't the fault of the actors but of the script itself. I think if you're going to make a film about the fashion industry and you can get a screen idol like Meryl Streep to play the lead role, the material and script need to be top class.

When I watched the film I was surprised that more hadn't been done... I wanted to cringe with delight at the political incorrectness and I wanted to laugh out loud at the parody that is the 'size zero' industry... but I didn't, although I did enjoy the film I wouldn't watch to watch it more than once or twice.

It was good, not great but definitely worth watching for the performances of Meryl Streep and Hector Elizondo.
