hubby has this one and its a great step back in time,, we have quite a varied collection of cds and only keep the good ones and this one is to be kept...

I decide to purchase this cd, to introduce my child to the Beatles music, it has got the most popular Beatles songs. My child just loved it !

All the tracks I want to hear from the iconic Beatles all on one CD, also some I had forgotten but to hear them now brings back so many memories. Hard to just listen, in the safety of my car the temptation to sing along is just too much.!!

heard it at work,started to sing with it while setting thing,s up ,like mostly eight day,s a week track.no dislike,s.looked all over town for the cd so i was so pleased to finaly find it .

I brought this as I was a Beatle fan during the Sixties I saw them once and having a fair number of their hits together is great. I have purchased a number of compilations and this is my favourite. I can play this and I am taken back 40 years or so!I can always see them in my minds eye when I hear different songs of theirs.

brilliant album everyone needs this in their collection,even my teenage son thought this was cool enough to play in the car! A REAL CLASSIC.

There are not enough descriptive adjectives to truly show just how good this CD is. The Beatles at their very best.

A good range of beatles music well put together and contains more than a lot of beatles cd's.Its good to listen to all the original songs and not cover or live versions.

I am not a paul mcartney fan, but in the BEATLES THIS ONE SUPERB ALBUM, the production of the album is high and you hust cannot go wrong for music, its a 5 right from the start, buy this one.

The Beatles are perhaps the greatest popular musicians of all time, and when you listen to this album you will understand why. Not their best album, but still plenty of incredible songs on here - that will never go out of date. Incredible Stuff. Guaranteed something for everyone.
Everything from the Sleeve to the music is Legendary - Plus in HMV/Virgin these beatles albums are always around 12-15 so grab yourself a bargain.

Great Cd with all the classics and favourites on - ideal for a sing-along, mine is residing permanently in the car! Music that everyone enjoys - timeless!

I REALLY LOVE THE BEATLES EARLY STUFF, THEREFORE THOUGHT THIS ALBUM WOULD FIT THE BILL. IT ARRIVED REALLY QUICKLY AND WAS A REAL BARGAIN! I AM VERY HAPPY WITH BOTH THE SERVICE I RECEIVED AND THE ALBUM ITSELF.

In my opinion the greatest band of all time but is this their greatest compilation? Yes it is for a single CD Best Of though the Red (1962-66) and Blue (1967-70) double LPs steal its thunder overall. 1 contains 27 songs, all of which made it to the top spot in either the UK or US.

For the Fab Four’s early period, 1 pretty much includes their best songs though, from Revolver onwards, The Beatles' singles represent a somewhat sanitised version of their best output. By all means buy 1 as an introduction though there’s no real substitute for their last four major LPs – Revolver, Sgt Pepper, The White Album and Abbey Road (Let It Be and other latter Beatles ' LPs are less essential).

Particular highlights of 1 for me include the early ebullience of I Want to Hold Your Hand, A Hard Day’s Night with its classic opening chord and closing arpeggios and the beautiful melancholy of Eleanor Rigby and Penny Lane. These are just personal choices as nearly every track on this LP is a classic and, on another day, I may have picked out four others.

1 is a very good first Beatles purchase though like many singles compilations, barely tells half the band’s story. Buy it but don’t stop there in exploring the music of the most influential and significant band of all time. Probably the best band ever as well…

This numbers one's album gives you a taste of their success. It brings back memories of the fab four and does bring a smile to your face. A great album to listen to. Would recommend whether your an oldie or new to the Beatles.

I bought it as a present for my mum. Not listened to it but other people have told me that the re-mixing n stuff on it has killed the original songs!!!

This is exactly the sort of Beatles album I wanted! Every song on the album is a favourite of mine - I know all the words and sing to my heart's content - my poor hubby's ears!!!
