Sort by: Reviews Review created: 02/03/08 by: I first discovered this album two years after release and loved it then but never bought it due to my prejudiced views on dum dum dum music! It was a friends c/d and i tried to get it on vinal without much success after buying the latest Ministry Of Sound album Anthems. It was on this album I rediscovered The Shamen with Ebeneezer Goode.Excellent.and then decided to buy the album Boss Drum on ebay. Once the album arrived I realized what i had missed for ten years. This album has Quality Tracks many of which had charted during the band rise and subsequent fall. The beatmaster mix of Ebeneezer Goode is particually good as is Phorever People. Other worthwile listening includes the title track Boss Drum and L.S.I. Any lover of dance mucic will love this original forefathers band and Boss Drum is their masterpiece. Incedently my Dance Music prejudice has gone and now have a collection of my own including Ministry of sound x2 and Hardcore Heaven vol 5. Review ID: 10000000005887154 Was this review helpful? I think it was indeed 1992. Review ID: 10000000002979462 Was this review helpful? Report this review A blast from the past, this is a quality amount of music with a spicey hint of nostalger. If you were a teenager when this was out you will know that alot of this was played in the school discos every Friday lunch time. I love this album it makes car journeys seem effortless, even my 4 year old daughter loves it. Review ID: 10000000002441578 Was this review helpful? There are no pretences made, it's cover being reminiscent of low budget 90's garage/ techno. Not alot in it unless your satisfied by beats [and repetition]. A good buy for anyone of that generation even if it's just to add it to your collection, it being such a landmark. Review ID: 10000000002342504 Was this review helpful?
