Band Of Brothers (DVD 2002)

Although the purchase and deivery of my iten was very good i have never received feeback from the seller even though I have contacted them several times. Puchase with caution!

Watched the whole series,who else but the yanks oould make such an exceptional
series as this?
I also like watching the old english war films,but there full of class snobbery & divisions,which is why our country is in the pits,compared to Germany,that's a model,modern,efficient & friendly country,along with it's people.
If I could speak German I would emigrate there tomorrow.

My only disappointment is the sound,which is too low in volume,even though I play it on my PC with latest HD-LCD & 8.1 onboard sound.

I saw some of the episodes on the TV a few years ago, but never actually sat and watched them all. I'm interested in war history, and saw the box set in HMV a few months ago, so decided to buy it on E bay for less money.
I have now watched the entire set, and it's totally amazing ... so well written, and the acting is so realistic.
I would recomend this to anyone.

what can i say about band of brothers all time great to have that you can not find a better war production in exsistance i love it and so do a lot of my friends a must have.

This film is so well filmed and produced. My daughter need this as they were watching it at school for gcse to show them them what really happened. I started watching it with her and could not stop, and what a FANTASTIC AND VERY REAL account. I don't usually like war films but this was truly magnificent. My 13 year old has also watched it and it is a real education to all children, and what they should know about the war and horrific ordeals they went through, also my Dad of 85 thinks its wonderful and accurate form someone who was there. a film not to be missed.

What a great story and to had a dvd which ou can watch over and over again. This is not a film which id=s over in 2 hours. Its a life time living with these people with there ups and downs.

So many people missed it the first time around and this a chance to see it all over again.

hubby is obsessed with it had a copy but it was stolen so tryin to find a replacement and thankyou he is the happiest man alive .

Whats to dislike about this DVD set, it is one of the best war series ever and I have wanted this for a long time. Anyone thinking about buying it but hesitating, then don't. Go for it, it is realistic to the point of having you believe that you are actually there and as one who wasn't I can appreciate the sacrifice made by those who were.

I decided to buy this item because of the story line. Very much out of the same mold as Saving Private Ryan. Anything that has Tom Hanks' mark on has to be good.

This DVD series is on par with Saving Private Ryan. You can tell that Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg had a hand in the making of this superb World War II drama. The interviews with the actual veterans from the 101 st Air Bourne, at the beginning of each episode and fianally at the end of the series, only adds to this superb series, of what life must have been like for the brave who fought for us today. This is a MUST watch....

"Band of brothers" is i think the finest drama about the second world war thats ever been shown on television in my opinion it beats any war film its a superb account of the war with introductions by veterans from the 101 division ; superbly acted i guarantee youll watch each episode more than once ;if youve never seen it do so now you wont regret it

i brought it for my husband as he loved the series so much, now i can go on ebay whilst he watches the dvd's, both are happy, lol

This was recommended to me by a young friend. I purchased, received and veiwed all DVDs within 1 week. We were addicted to viewing each episode as soon as we could. The chats with the actually officers, at points, was tearful. The filming was brilliant, the acting outstanding, what more can be said but BUY THIS you won't regret it.

I WAS ABSOLUTELY TRANSFIXED FROM 1ST TO LAST EPISODE. THE ACTING AND CHARATERS WERE AMAZING ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE SHOULD WATCH IT AND SEE WHAT THOSE MEN DID FOR THIS COUNTRY. I AM NOT REALLY A TELLY PERSON SO ME TO FEEL LIKE THIS IS AMAZING I COULD WATCH IT OVER AND OVER AGAIN

I think this has got to be one of the best series ever made. It is truly epic (think saving private ryan as a series) WW2 Drama. It looks quality on Dvd and the sound of the explosions on a surround system etc are superb! try the disc where they are in the forest in Bastogne and the artillery bombardment was just too much for my ears lol quality, like it was in my room!
The acting is superb and made better by the host of british talent of course. The washed out style picture really gives the series a great war feel to it and the camera work is second to none get it on a big telly and it makes you feel like it is you running at the germans. There is plenty of gorey parts too which show the grim reality of war but also plenty of nicer parts too like the fact that real friendships develop like brothers where they would do anything for one another hence the name 'Band Of Brothers'. A final word-If you like this sort of thing then DO NOT MISS OUT you will never forget it and once watched will watch again in the future. cheers for listening hope this helps.

I've always wanted a copy of Band of Brothers and especially liked the special edition collectors tin edition! i bought it for a very reasonable price and i received it in excellent condition even with the original package intact!

Very fast delivery and arrived in good order. If you have not seen the band of brothers and love war movies then this is a must to have and watch. Over 10 hours of footage. Once you have watched the first part you will want to continue watching the rest so beware could be a long night.

I have watched the series on TV and my family and I are totally engrossed in these moving, well protrayed and written historical TV series.

They are one of many war-like stories where you can watch over and over again, and each viewing is as convincing and enjoyable as the last one.

The story lines were gripping; the characters were brilliant and some were comical and when you heard the few remaining real war heroes recollecting their personal experience, you could not imagine these 80 year olds had been through pretty heroic and dangerous missions during the war.

Absolutely a joy to watch, and if you like war-time films, this is the one I would definitely recommending.

The box set is sitting proudly on my DVD shelf! Enjoy.

I love the whole series. I never watched the series until recently, and then bought 2 box sets, one for myself and one for my son. I like the relationships between the characters and the depth at which they are portrayed. A history lesson at the same time!I simply cannot talk to anyone when it is on. Brilliant!!

Great action , a true account of how it was like in the war. Great close up action true to life. Would reccomend this to all war lovers.

The best film i ever watched would recomend to any one given to me by sister to watch ,then i went and bought it for myself .fantastic fantastic.......
