very funny exellent film, all characters in the film are very funny, the film is a romantic comedy, made me laugh all the way through, a very good british film

I love this film without any pretentious to be a snobby film critic. I know that the director would have not get a certain critical acclaim due to which he is very commercialised film maker. But so what!? For this film making, he is brilliant as he succeeded to draw everyone viewers' attention to something important, yet would tend to be the end of your busy everyday task sheet.
Ah, after all, I believe that we love beautiful story! We love to be loved to be deceived for beautiful illusion!
...Well, personally, it's not illusion. I'm actually born to be romantic!

I don't like Hugh Grant. I don't like cheesy romantic comedies. But I loved this film. Some great performances by a whole host of well-known actors make it a must-see.
You'll be cursing the Christmas song by the end of it though!

This is one of the best romantic comedies in recent years and features both a strong cast and a great storyline. It's really a whole series of mini stories which are linked together cleverly throughout the film.
An array of stars - Hugh Grant, Colin Firth, Alan Rickman, Emma Thompson and Keira Knightley among them - perform to their usual high standard.
Featuring a top comic performance from Bill Nighy as an ageing rock star who enjoys an unexpected comeback, the film also boasts a wealth of comedy treats - including Kris Marshall (BT Broadband TV advert) as a randy emigre to the USA and Rowan Atkinson in a brief but hilarious appearance as a shop assistant.
The comedy is interspersed with romantic set pieces and moving moments to warm even the hardest of hearts.
With a great soundtrack which reaches a climax with a spectacular and fun version of "All I Want for Christmas is You" there should be something for just about everyone here.
My one criticism is the unnecessary amount of bad language scattered throughout the film as if they had a quota to fill. It adds very little to what is otherwise a modern day classic.
Overall a great film for warm-hearted film fans everywhere.

Real sweetie 'feel good' film with lots stars and cameo appearances. Watch it at Christmas! Bill nighy plays the same bungling toff he always plays (as does Hugh Grant). But it is mega soppy-if you like that kinda thing!

Despatchd quickly and it is still in it's wrapper so very pleased. Have not watched it yet as am waiting for a friend to be free to watch it with me, but I have seen it once before and I am looking forward to watching it for the second time.

I saw a friend's copy of this movie and I absolutely had to have my own copy. The plot was clever; the characters multi-faceted and interesting. I also loved that there were so many different types of love covered in the film, although one particular couple's profession was a bit of a shocker!An absolute must-have for any chick-flick addict.

You either love him or you hate him !!!! I am a fan and have enjoyed most of hugh Grants films. This is no exception. It is full of great entertainment.

This film is a feel good movie and will ensure you have a smile on your face throughout.

it was just what i ordered and the description was spot on. Theres really nothing more i can say but its great.

Quality actors like Bill Nighy, Alan Rickman, Emma Thompson and Liam Neeson, along with the natural comedy of Hugh Grant make this a real gem. Nighy is superb as the has-been pop star, and Grant's dancing must be seen to be believed! There are sensitive & heartwarming performances alongside comic genius. The day I bought it, I watched it four times in succession, it's THAT good! A movie with such a great cast promised a lot, but it exceeded expectations, and will be a firm favourite for years to come.

This film is one of my favorites of all time!! The quality of the acting is amazing. The amount of brilliant actors is astounding. Overall if you don't own this film yet, what are you waiting for!!

Love Actually is a mixed bag set in that mythical London that only seems to exist in the imagination of Richard Curtis. As a director, Curtis gets poor performances out of the better actors (Neeson and Rickman in particular) and passable ones from the really bad ones (Keira Knightley, Martin Freeman, Sienna Guillory) but is generally best when leaving the others to do their regular schtick (Hugh Grant playing the world's least convincing British Prime Minister, Emma Thompson in a virtual reprise of her Tall Guy character and Colin Firth doing his usual constipated look routine). With such a large ensemble many get lost en route and too many of the stories go nowhere, but it does get there in the end despite your resistance. Some of the surprisingly strong deleted scenes on the DVD do hint at a much more ambitious film, and there is one remarkably effective moment with a shattered Thompson listening to a Joni Mitchell song that holds the moment longer than you'd think he'd dare, but in the end the temptation to give in to feelgood corn wins over, even if it is at the cost of the film's already very limited supply of credibility. But that kid does look like he should be in The Omen or Village of the Damned - every time I see him I keep on expecting him to say "You are thinking of a brick wall."

A top chick flick. Very syrupy modern love movie, this will have your girlfriend/wife in floods off tears or dropping hints of 'why aren't you like that'. Several wincing moments but also some great comedy bits as well.

real family film very funny, light hearted and easy viewing, a film for everyone i bought because i had seen it at the movies and thought it would be nice to watch on those darl miserable nights when theres nothing on the telly and the whole family can have a laugh
