Alien Quadrilogy (DVD 2003)

Loved all 4 movies can watch them over again from time to time . had the set on video but it got loaned out and never returned . There are nine discs in this set directors cut ect ect , a must have for any A I L E N fan . All four films are must see movies i would find it hard to belive if you havent seen or heard of ALIEN or ALIENS if so you must . In space no one can hear you scream ! .

I brought this set Christmas, they have been after this for a long time but the cost was out of reach in the shops. I got this for a bargain price on ebay. My boys think the films are excellent.

i like the alien quadrilogg because of the full collection. i like sicence fiction and the story line is great. last but by no means least the price cheap as chips

Excellent, gripping, top quality with surround sound felt like i was
there. Sepecial effects were fernomanal.
Watch on my 32inch tv with surround sound pumping was better than being at the
cinema.
This is my favarate film of all time and to buy it on dvd was the best buy ever
the qaulity of picture was the best, sound was top of the range.
And to have all the extras witch ive never seen be for was a bonus.
Defanatly a 5* rateing form me.

I bought this set of dvds for my boyfriends 40th birthday.
He really likes the films and was very pleased to have copies of his own in a full box set.
Although they are not my type of films I am happy to sit with him and read my book while he watches them.

All 9 disc box set really cheap from ebay to me the best place for top dvds..there are top titled dvds for a really good price i have brought other items from ebay and i'm happy with them all.

This is an outstanding set of Alien Quadrilogy DVDS, thrilling expereience whilst watching the films, i thoroughly enjoyed each one of them.

I finally decided I wanted all the Alien movies on DVD as previously I had a few on video. This set was keenly priced and the movies are a pleasure to watch one after the other - if you have the time to do this it really adds to the Alien experience. The box set is a nice addition to my collection and the box itself is attractive and all printed in English (for a change).

This is the best and most comprehrensive box set to date of the Alien franchise.
You can now pick this 9 disc set up off ebay at around £20 whichmeans it is a must buy for any fan of the films or the franchise.
Jam packed with extras and all films contain a dircetors cut which rocks!

Alien Quadrilogy has to be the best science fiction films ever to be directored as well as produced.This Compliation has the complete Alien films and Sigourney Weaver as Warrent Officer Eileen Ripley is fantastic in all of them.I enjoyed all these films and i must say that the storylines and acting by the cast members were brillant and the alien special effects were also fantastic.
If you have been a Aliens fan like me from the start you will simply love owning this Alien Quadrillogy and can watch them at your leisure.Even now after a few months have gone by.i get out one of the Alien films and re-watch and i feel like i am watching it again for the first time

I would highly recomend this Aliens Quadrillogy to anyone who like me is a true Science-fiction fan and who like me thought Aliens was a true classic

I decided to buy Alien Quadrilogy as it was a deal too good to miss. I have always been a fan of the Alien films and admired the technology used to make the "monsters" seem real. The acting is of a very high standard and story lines are believable and in todays world not too far fetched!! These films are known world wide and are still the best of their kind. Scary but can't stop watching kind of films, excellent quality and extremly well made. Definately ones not to miss.

The first Alien movie blew my mind out, and I'm not that easy "blowable" when it comes to Sci Fi movies. The icy, slow moving and claustrophobic atmosphere directed by Ridley Scott, enchanted by the bio-bone-metallic alien surroundings created by Giger, makes Alien one of the most scary Sci Fi movies up to this date. It was also by the time one of the best acted Sci Fi films made, and I have to admit that Ripley really was "my kind of gal".

The follower-up, The Aliens, took years to develope and was a different kind of movie.
Directed by Cameroun it had a fast moving and action like setting, with big mouthed marines determined to really kick some ass and killing of the alien bugs just like that, and a sombre Ripley calling the cards saying: "Oh yeah ? A single one of them took out my entire crew one by one, and now we might be
facing a lot of them"
Aliens lack the erieness, and creepy feeling of the first movie, but I've yet not decided which movie I like best. But they're both very good to outstanding movies, ranking 5 stars in my book.

In front of the third Alien movie there was a lot of rumours that this would be the last in a triology, giving answers to what the Alien species really was all about, where they came from and their purpose in life. There was to be a final battle between "us and them" on their home planet.
Instead we had Ripley facing a smarter, more agile alien trapped on a prison planet. The movie is trying hard the have some deep profound human sentiment in it, telling us that the bad guys really are great guys when it comes down to the nitty gritty. It ends up with Ripley biting the dust in a bacward swan dive into molten metal, and by golly, I thought this was The End of the Alien saga. Yeah right! Well, I'll give it a 3.5 star rating

Now, in the fourth Alien movie Ripley is cloned back to life, but have had her DNA mixed with the alien's DNA, (back from movie No 3).
She is now partly alien and has quite exceptional reflexes and strength, but there ends the excitement for me so I shall say no more about this movie, except giving it a 2.5 star rating.
Total for the Alien quad pack is a strong 4 star rating from me, as it is a must in every Sci Fi collection.
NB! there has been a longstanding rumour of a fifth Alien movie, but if Ripley is gonna be played by S.Weawer, they'll better hurry up before they have to roll her on the set in a wheel chair so; hurry on kitty, kitty !
