Yamaha GO44 Sound Card

This is a very portable, solid, well built external sound card. It can be used anywhere, live or in studio, at home , away from home, if you have a 6 pin firewire socket on your Mac or PC laptop. Drivers are available for Mac, Windows XP1/2 and Vista.
Sound quality both playback an recording is excellent. Minimum latency is a few ms and near zero in practise. Setup is easy, and it comes with its own mixer panel.
Also provides MIDI in/out for your PC/Laptop even in Vista! Has digital audio out too.
Two input 1/4" jack inputs, two 1/4" jack outputs, 1/4" jack monitor/headphone socket and headphone volume control.
Comes with three very useful software packages and a DVD full of programs and samples. Cubase LE, Halion LE and Groove LE.
An extenal power supply is provided for those who only have a 4 pin firewire connection. They even supply a fire wire cable 6/6 and a 4/6 converter.
So everthing you need to get up and recording or creating music is provided and it takes only about 10 minutes to installand setup everything.
If you still have an AC97 sound controller in your PC you will be amazed at
the quality of this sound card which can be used just as a conventional sound card. This is probably better than good HiFi quality.
Altogether very impressed with this card/unit.
Only negative aspect is its price, definitely upper end of market.
