Xena - Warrior Princess - Series 1 - Complete (DVD)

I have to say this is my all-time favourite tv show for so many reasons!
Despite having derived from its predocessor, 'Hercules The Legendary Journeys', Xena goes way beyond the handsome muscular man who is sometimes hard to relate to. She is a heroine in every sense, but with a very dark and brutal past. Xena is a character you can't help but love, even with her many faults. As I've painted rather a gloomy picture of the show I'll tell you now, somehow the writers manage to achieve humour, action, adventure, horror, mystery and most of all love and a confusing sense of good and evil.
Xena I would say is for an older audience than Hercules, despite when it was on air, it was on early. If what I've told you about the show hasn't enticed you, then perhaps the skimpy leather costume Xena (lucy Lawless) wears throughout will. She is a beautiful warrior with raven hair and the brightest blue eyes. Kevin Smith who plays Ares is also a joy to look at!
Buy this dvd collection if you enjoy epic adventures which leave scope for the imagination, or a good sword fight!
