The X-Files Movie (DVD 2000)

Great movie.... Mulder and Scully transfer very well to the big screen. Even if you weren't a fan of the series you'll enjoy this sci-fi thriller!

This is a very good story, it can be followed even if you are not a fan of the TV series. In my opion if you are considering buying the sequel its not a good as the original.

film was in a good quality. We received really quickly. Brought it as my mother in law loves x files and new she would enjoy it

After five years of chasing paranormal activity, the X-Files are closed by the government. FBI Agent Fox "Spooky" Mulder and his skeptical partner, Dana Scully, are reassigned to more mundane duties...such as bomb detail. Even so, Mulder gets more and more information confirming his suspicions about alien activity on Earth and a secret, international collaberation of men (placed high up within the government and within other governments)protecting that confidential information and still keeping the real truth about the aliens a big secret at all costs. An outbreak of metamorphic alien activity in Texas provides the clues for the agents. This is the secret about the aliens who have come to colonise earth with the help of the aformentioned international team of humans in strategic positions in governments across the world. The Cigarette-Smoking Man who fans have come to know only too well, also has great involvement in this secret plan. Together the two agents uncover proof of an alien virus which later is covered up by the media. The X-files department is under threat of closure as the two agents fight for its very survival. Continuing their investigations even though it is clear they are not wanted.
This film is better in my opinion than the latest film just out.

Great movie to any X-files fan, It's a movie you can watch even if you havn't seen a single x-files episode. Very enjoyable, with great twists and a great story line,

Agents Mulder and Skully are back in business. Starts off with both agents on a roof in Dallas, Texas looking for a bomb after a bomb scare, Agent Mulder finds the bomb in a vending machine, and gets stuck in with it. He gets skully to call the bomb squad to defuse it and try to get him out. they evacuate the building, when the bomb squad get there. They get Mulder out of there and leave the bomb man with it. As Maulder runs out he sense something is wrong but theres no time. For some starnge reason the person trying to defuse the bomb does nothing. He just sits there. why?, is there a cover up? will the x-files get re-opened? What etratresterals will be descovered? to find out. Watch it NOW!!!

the film was most enjoyable but took two attemts to watch it to understand the plot better. if had not seen any of the series it might not be so enjoyable

Seen it several times, so thought I`d buy the DVD seberal years on!!

Am real x files fan so this is a must for anyone similar. a must see film that appeals to anyone wether you have seen the tv show or not.

Classic x-files. this is what the 2008 movie should have been. the alien and ufo episodes of the x files were always the best for me, JLC Bring back the x-files!

About the movie, to summarize my feelings, I loved it! Mulder and Scully should have kissed instead of just brushing lips.

this film has got to be the best movie i have ever seen i am a big fan of the x files and could watch this film over and over again. if you have not got this film then please buy it it is fantastic. Mulder and scully are fantastic in this film. it is a movie not too be missed.

this movie as its title sugests it is the first big screen adventure of the x-files team from the highly popular and long running series of the same name.
it is a well balanced fast paced story that will keep viewers glued to there seats wanting to know what happens.
it feels like a very long episode but that is in its favour.
the actors reprised there roles well and with the extra budget of it being a major motion picture the effects are well intergrated into the onscreen experience.
this movie is rated 15 but only due to the complexity of the plot, it will survive to become a classic if only becouse of its rather large fan base.
i find it enjoyable family evening viewing and a worthy addition to dvd collections everywhere.

A must for fans of the series. If you haven't really got into the X-files, then would be interesting, and would tell you if you're likely to enjoy them or not. Sometimes it does seem a little like 2 or 3 episodes stuck together, and not as good as some of the best episodes, but overall good, well-acted and keeps attention.

An excellent film, just like the series. A must of any X-File fan, even if it just to add to the collection.

a great movie that is essential to watch between seasons 5 and 6 of the series. ot answers a lot of questions, but also raises more. a great movie!
