I think this is an excellent character driven Bond adventure. The kidnapping and reaction of Peirce Brosnan's Bond to Electra is quite believable as I always thought that Bond has a Knight in Shining Armour complex and tries to rescue all women in trouble.
I enjoy certain characters in this one the best being Robbie Coltrain's ex-KGB Valentin is always funny. The only flaw is the unbelievably terrible performance of Goldie, just awful.
Still, brilliant film.

Thank you for voting. If your vote meets our James Bond DVD with extrasI've always been a Bond fan & this one is one of the best. Pierce Brosnan ranks up there with Sean Connery & Roger Moore as 007. Pierce is everything Bond should be - confident, respectful, fearless, highly principled and occasionally funny (in a Bond sort of way).
The second DVD is an absolute gem, I love the behind-the-scenes info. The gadgets Bond uses today often become the toys of tomorrow.
Very nice tribute to Desmond Llewelyn, I'm absolutely gutted that the directors have semi-retired the role of Q, John Cleese is one of very few people who could have filled Desmonds irascible shoes! Very missed.
Those of us who grew up with 007 are now enjoying the wonders of new technology, it's not expensive to have a decent home cinema these days. So with those few words I'm off to close the curtains, turn the volume up & watch this movie again. DVD's are so affordable now, I especially love the releases which include all the extras!
