Album Notes Digital Hardcore: it's a style! No, It's a record company! Stop fighting! You're both right! And Ec8or is Digital Hardcore. A delicious, all-out sonic assault that takes no prisoners and leaves few buildings standing. Some will find "World Beaters" intolerably strident, but others will find it cathartic and soothing. Ec8or claims to have a political bent to their lyrics, but only a handful of words are intelligible on the entire disc and Gina's vocals sound more like Angelica Pickles throwing a temper-tantrum over a cheap PA than an incendiary "voice-of-the-people." Play this at work and your boss will think that someone dropped a tool box full of wrenches down the stairwell. Your co-workers will timidly look at your boombox and quietly ask, "Is it supposed to sound like that ?" Lie to them if you must, but you will know the truth. A terrific disc. | |||||||||||
