Wild Things (DVD 1999)

Wow. "Wild Things" is one of those trash masterpieces that is just so clever, so hot and so fun that it becomes one of the most interesting and under-rated films of the 1990s.
The rich Denise Richards and the very poor Neve Campbell each accuse high school teacher Matt Dillon of rape, but there is something that is not quite right. Enter detectives Kevin Bacon and Daphne Rubin-Vega.
They both doubt that the case is as simple as it seems.
Boy are they right.
The investigation leads to court where it is made clear by Dillon's attorney (Bill Murray) that the case lacks any real evidence to convict Dillon to prosecutor Robert Wagner's despair.
The whole thing was a fabrication to get to Richards' mother's riches (Theresa Russell).
But of course this is just the start and there will be double-, triple- and even quadruple-crossing and it is skewered who are good and who are evil or is anyone good?
A brilliant screenplay by Stephen Peters and Alfred Hitchcock-styled direction by John McNaughton makes "Wild Things" a trashy, but highly impressive cinematic winner. 4 stars out of 5.

This film is one of the best films that I have seen for creating twists and turns. If you guess the ending of a film pretty easy then this is the film for you! I didn't see the ending coming.

I'm also not a Neve Campbell fan but I think that she is rather good in this film. This film show how several actors can come together and make a great film without there being one person in the front trying to grab the spotlight.

Set in the steamy swamplands of Florida, this film has a great ensemble cast, great cinematography, great soundtrack, and a plotline with more twists than a corkscrew which will keep you guessing right through the end credits. It's not on the same level as Hitchcock or Grisham, but it grabs and holds you just as well as they do. Great entertainment.

Wild things is a mix of mystery and intrigue. It's a very sexy film with great performances from a very strong cast. Bill Murray is excellent and Neve Campbell is at her complex and sexy best. The dvd also contains a making of the film and the movie trailer. I bought the film mainly because Neve Campbell was in it.

If you think you can predict this script then you are wrong. This movie twist and turns all the way to the very end. Do not turn off at end of movie watch the credits as the story unfolds even more.

This is a great film with alot of great twists the end will shock you, i really love this film and recomend it to anyone who loves a great story line. 5 stars

I heard it was good from a friend at work had at look at it and thought, this is a very good price and took the risk and bought it, i wasnt dissapointed i was not sure to say 4/5 or 5/5. I chose 5/5 maybe not the best film on the planet but if you like a very creative and clever film with nice acting and great twists! I think this will be your film very sexy, clever, gets you thinking a bit and fun to watch i would recommend this.

Obviously not to everyones taste! but i found this very entertaining and hopefully someone else out there will too.

Having been a fan of previous works featuring Neve Campbell & Denise Richards I watched this with a high expectation. I have to say that I was not disspointed. This makes for a great thriller. A few unexpected twists kept an air of mystery about the plot (although some were predictable I'm afraid). Being a Red Blooded Male I can say there were a few treats too! :). I would recommend this film although I wouldn't classify it as one of my personal all time favourites but heck yeah - everyone should get this. I am quite tempted to check out the sequal to see if it holds the same intrigue! having a different cast though we'll have to see if it is as good. Wild Things is definately worth a look.

A watchable movie! Won't be to everybody's cup of tea but for a not so taxing movie it's just fine.

Bought this dvd as all though it is an old film it is a brilliant thriller with a twist in the tale. Very watchable.

I adore this movie. The cast are fantastic and the story will keep you guessing right up until the last minute. As a fan of murder mysteries I can highly recommend this movie as it has everything.......and more.

Every time you think the mystery has been solved, a massive spanner is thrown into the mix.

If you are looking for a film that will entertain you give this one a try.

What an excellent film. I only bought it because I like Kevin Bacon, I had not heard of the fim, but it kept me on the edge of my seat with so many twists and turns.
