I absolutley loved this film, i am a big fan of Jonny Depp and he plays a great part in this movie. It has agreat story line and he plays the part really well.
Leonardo Dicaprio plays the part of his seventeen year old autistic brother he plays it so well you would think he was really like that.

Great Movie
) I decided to buy this movie because my daughter and I are collecting all the Johnny Depp and Leonardo DeCaprio films. This film was a great buy as both actors play superb roles. DeCaprio plays a brilliant mentally handicapped boy with feeling. Depp is superb as his older brother who looks out for him and their mother. The story takes place in a small American town where Depp is looking for love while at the same time helping his younger brother and very overweight mother who cannot go out due to her size and the fact that she is ridiculed by people who see her. This is a moving film with a great story line and is a must see movie.

What's Eating Gilbert GrapeAs video's are becoming a thing of the past I wanted to get this film on DVD for a better quality. I had watched 'What's Eating Gilbert Grape' a few years back and had never seem it on television. As this film had made an impression on me I was very pleased to buy it as I was unable to see it in many shops. It is a story of a father who just leaves his family suddenly which makes the mother turn to food for comfort. She becomes obese and the talk of the small town with which they live. It shows the lives of the children, Johnny Depp, Leonardo DiCaprio (who is mentally retarded) and their 2 sisters and how they cope with family life and growing up. Excellent film.

) This really is Depp and Dicaprio at there very best. They are both brilliant actors and there talent really does shine through in this film.
I loved how you grew with the characters and really cared for them and felt there sadness aswell as there joy.
A must for any Depp fan or anyone who loves a good story line with beautifully presented characters.
Dicaprio deserves an award for his performance as he really does steal the show.

A Film I previously owned on Video Cassette but then decided to upgrade to DVD because of the better playing quality and also storage ability.
Although this Film is several years old, I am still entranced by the storyline.
Leonardo di Caprio and Johnny Depp both prove to be excellent actors in their title roles.
The film is set in Endora, Iowa, USA and features the trials of obsetity and mental disability faced by a, the Mother and Leonardo di Caprio (brother Arnie).
Oscar Nominated and a film one can repeatedly watch.
Although this Film is several years old, I am still entranced by the storyline.

I decided to buy this dvd for a friend for christmas, im a very big johnny depp fan and have now collected all his films since 21 jump street my friedn is also trying to build up a collection of his films, so this is for her.
What i love most about this film is there is no swearing,or voilence in it, Leo and johnny play the parts so well, and its a real beautiful family film, it shows how a small town boy like gilbert, really wanted to break free from the town he lived in but his responsibilty to his family were such that he couldnt, after his mum died at the end of the film he was free to do what he and arnie wanted.
it also show the stress the young arnie put on the rest of the chidren in the family especially his younger sister
this film is fantastic in my eyes
