Suffice to say, irrespective of ones childhood career, there's no substitute for getting an education.... otherwise the results could be catasthropic...!!!

this is one of those films that everyone should watch at least once in their life time. Bette Davies is at her absolute best as the guilt ridden sister gripping onto the edge of sanity with the tips of her finger nails whilst trying to relaunch her career as child star, Baby Jane. Joan Crawford plays the "victim" to a tee. A great example of how a lie can affect the rest of people's life. On of the film world's true classics.

Great to see it available on dvd.Enjoyed every minute of the film as I hadn't seen it for years. The acting of Joan Crawford and Bette Davis was brilliant!
If anyone hasn't seen this film before, this is the one to watch.Excellent!

Whatever happened to baby Jane Hudson, IS A TRUE hollywood A list classic of all time. I remember watching this movie with my mother, petrified of what was going to happen next.
This film is a psycological thriller, fundementely abound two aging sisters,shot in traditional black and white,which seems to add to the drama and feel. I bought this movie recently due to a friend reminding me how good it is,relying on superb script and the fabulous acting abilities from the two leading ladies,DAVIES AND CRAWFORD Oscars for both I say.
Films are not made like this anymore and life is not the same and society is the worse for that,for all the story is about brutal cruelty of one sister to the other,you can not escape the underying glamour in this movie a time where
Women were ladies and acted as such,and men were gentlemen and life just was more perfect.
This is why the film works so well,as the cruelty it portrays is so shocking at a basic level,no need for blood and dripping ruby red guts and core. The story works in ones own imagination,the same principal, why reading a book delivers a stronger message than watching a film, the mind has no boundaries.
This review is not going to tell you too much about this movie as I dont want to spoil it for you the viewer, what I erge you to do is buy this movie and watch it.

I just love the old dramatic movies, and what more drama could you ask for than Joan Crawford and Bette Davis together. Fantastic film. You must get it.

When 2 fantastic actresses are brought together, Joan Crawford & Bette Davis, you are guaranteed to have a brilliant film. They are so well suited to the parts they play in this movie. My mother originally got me hooked and now I have done the same with my 6yr old daughter. Amazing that the film has stood the test of time and that 3 generations all enjoy it. It is a classic and keeps you sitting on the edge of your seat the whole way through. I have to say that "French & Saunders Baby Dawn" is a great tribute to the film, you must watch it on "You Tube". Hilarious and I love it. Both highly recommended.

If you like classic old black and white movies with high class acting and scripts then this is for you! Bette Davis and Joan Crawford, two of the biggest Hollywood stars at the time, are a great combination in this film. oe say that Crawford steals the show but I think its e other way round. Davis is just brilliant. There are some real tension moments in the film but I won't spoil them for you. Let's just say beware what you eat in this household!

Although I didn't get to wacth this DVD (it was stolen in a burglary) I have seen the film before and my brother has this version too hence why I bought it! The extras on the DVD are very good amongst others commentary, interviews with Davis (who smokes throughout the whole thing!) and Crawford. The best extra I think is a bizarre song Davis sings about the film on Andy Williams TV Show. Not only is it weird to see Davis sing but if you've seen the film it just doesn't fit. Certainly something to see!

Classic, amazing Bette Davis at her best, a must see film, my favourite all time film. Quite tense at times its a proper old 'shout at the tv' movie.

I bought this dvd to replace a video as it is such a good film i wanted to make sure i had a copy when digital kicks in and the old vhs wont work.
fantastic film, betty davis is brilliant as an ageing soilt child star.

i bought it for my sisters birthday ,we are both big fans of Bette Davis and are replacing videos with dvds.

I've been meaning to watch this film for a while now and felt like I had to get it when I saw it up on ebay.
I was very pleased with the process of it being sent. It arrived very quickly, and in excellent condition. I watched it as soon as it came through and found no faults whatsoever.

It is an original classic film and I enjoyed watching it many years ago and thought it would be a good idea to purchase it and let the rest of my family watch it and give their views. Betty Davis is an excellent actress and I can assure you that even everyone who watched it and have never heard of it before have rated it 10 out of 10.

An excellent film staring Joan Crawford and Bette Davis. Watch Bette and Joan at their best. Its a known fact they did not get on and I think you can see this as the film progresses. Bette plays the child star gone bad who thinks she ran her sister down years ago causing her disability. See what Bette serves Joan for dinner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a really good, old-fashioned thriller.
It's really eery for its time and Bette Davis - who plays psyhco-sister Baby Jane Hudson - and Joan Crawford - who plays crippled sister Blanche Hudson - are really fabulous.
The film is in black and white, but this doesn't take anything away from the film.
