Welcome Back My Friends To The Show That Never Ends
This was ELP's sixth album, originally released as a live triple album for the price of a double. ELP always did things bigger than others. Taken from performances of their world tour in the middle 70's, theis has to be one of the best live albums by any band. The musicianship of all three is superb, and the choice of material excellent. Karn Evil 9 sounds better live than on the original album, as does Tarkus, Toccatta and the Piano Improvisations. If you've forgotten hor good ELP were, get this and be reminded. 5* without a doubt.
