Watership Down (DVD 2005)

Great kids film but also a film that adults can watch with them. Great for all the family. Brings back childhood memories and is still as good now as it was then

This film is fab. Although the cover says universal i think if a young child is going to watch it you should be with them as some scenes are a bit disturbing for a child. Another generation experienced this great film. I watched it as a child and now my children have. They are 4 and 7. The seven year old enjoyed it and didnt move for the whole film as did my 4 year old. But the comments after were that they liked it but it had scary bits. My seven year old asked a lot of questions about scenes in the film. She loved the seagull, Keha. This film is a classic and no other animation has matched it. Some brill actors in it make it what it is. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Now whenever we travel near the british countryside, 'thats where the rabbits live' is what the kids say.

I like the flim because it was very good how they done it with rabbits,it a very sad flim to watch.It was very good price to buy.

Lovely film of an excellent book. Highly entertaining and endearing characters. Highly suitable for children and adults who have lost all the magic of childhood. Lovely animation and music completes an excellent package.

was a nostalgic choice as it reminds me of younger days , still holds all the magic and very clever use of subjects , language and illustration .

A fantastic family film that everyone should see once

my husband came home from work and told me aboyt the top 5 weepy films he had heard on the radio and one of them was watership down l had to agree l loved the film and have seen it many time when l was younger l started looking in shops and web sits to see if l could get it on dvd and l found it but with the price of it had to wait untill pay day l toil a friend about it and she suggested looking on ebay that was when l first became a member of ebay l won it the next day at a excellant price l felt l had won the lottory l watched it i with my boys brilliant the dvd brougth out the music fantastic a real orcastra and even better than before l still cryed at the end.

I bought Watership Down for three reasons, first because i needed it for research on a book i am in the middle of writing,secondly the best place to find almost anything is on ebay, and the third is you can find a bargain and not break the bank!

An absolute gem ! I first saw this film about 25 years ago,as a young kid and it etched it's self on my mind straight away. I just had to buy it for my kids who are of the same age as i was when i first saw it. It's a superbly animated film with a great story and fantastic voice overs...My kids loved it! and as they get older i'm sure they will appreciate it even more....great film.

this film is an all time classic. i am sure many people young and old alike can enjoy this childrens tale about rabbits searching for a new home.you certainly get absorbed into this tale but be warned it is a tear jerker.i bought it as a gift for someone who hadnt seen it for years and they still enjoyed every minute of this title even now.

Havent seen the movie for a while and it came up in conversation so I decided to try and find it on e-bay. CHea as chips there it was , so I snapped it up.

Great film, with the unfortgetable "Bright eyes buning like fire" A son I sang as a child and hummed today!!!

The story is timless, Id recommend any parent to revisit the warrens with their children.

I've already seen this movie many times but i had to add it to my collection.
It is by far one of the best films in existance.
I do however, think it is a little too violent for children, but it makes me cry every time!

This certainly brings back a few childhood memories!! Fantastic film, great soundtrack and a lovely film to pass on to the children.

Down to earth story of a family of rabbits. A wonderful tale for children of all ages. Well worth purchasing . Mu grandchildren love this movie.

i bought this dvd because i used to love watching it as a child and i thought my children would like it too! i remember crying my eyes out! it didnt affect my children like that though! maybe i was just a really sensitive child!!!!! (although i must add - it did bring a lump to my throat again!)
overall a great film - a classic!

i watched this on television as a young child, finding some scenes scary. i purchased this film to sit with my children and watch, however the kids did not enjoy the film more than i did, they did not think there was enough action, they also thought this was a bit soppy.
i still enjoyed watching the film as an adult, i dont think i could watch it over and over again though, but still nice to keep in cabinet and know that it is there.

Watershop down is an amazing film. It's great for families or if your just in the mood to watch weepy films. I love this so much.

Definatley worth the money, but guarenteed that you'll always need a box or two of kleenex tissues to hand.

The song 'Bright Eyes' is very heart breaking... It's impossible not to cry when you hear it. It fits, the film so well.

Um... I wouldn't really recommend that particually emotional children watch this film as its sad.

Again absolutley fricking amazing film.

A film of superlatives. The original book comes alive with this superb animation and even for grown ups is a bit of a weepie. Lovely fim for all the family

This is a classic british film.Even though its a cartoon there's an adult concept running through it.Enjoyed from beginning to end.

I decided to purchase it for my Daughter as she had never seen it, and it was also along time ago since I had seen it. We both watched it and she enjoyed it.
She knows all the names and has since watched it another 3/4 times.

I decided to buy the DVD because I had seen the film as a child and enjoyed it and I had just finished reading the book to my daughter, and I wanted her to see the film. I hoped that she would enjoy it as much as I did. I was right! Our only criticisum is that the film misses out aspects from the original story, but we understand that all films adapted from books have to do that otherwise they will be too long.

We bought this DVD for our grand children, they are enthralled by it, our little grand son calls it the rabbits!! a big hit with all the family. We were well pleased with it.
