I have recently seen this live on stage and it was awesome. This DVD is the 2006 tour but is equally as good. Russell Watson plays Parson Nathaniel in this version & of course you have repeat performers like Justin Hayward & Chris Thompson (who were on the original 70's album).
The Martian machine is fab as it descends onto the stage. You even get a Richard Burton head that floats over the stage - unbelievable!.
The music is just as brilliant as it ever was - in the 2009 stage show the music even has a few extra bits so if you can get hold of the CD version of this you would have a great set!
If you can't get to the stage show then this DVD is for you! You even get a copy of the War Of The Worlds novel by HG Wells. Brilliant to read & inside there are even a few pictures of the 2006 tour!
