The War Of The Worlds Live (DVD)

That DVD is excellent. Amazing effects, amazing music, etc. With this Collectible DVD I have now 4 different versions. THANKS JEFF WAYNE and I hope to visit your live concert. I RECOMMEND THAT DVD TO EVERYONE.

An absolutely breathtaking stageshow of one of the greatest albums of the 20th century. Faithful to the album and original story by H G Wells (Spielberg take note). The music and imagery is stunning.
Everyone should see this, they will not be disappointed.

fantastic music !! we have watched it so many times already !!! spot on, i would love to go and see this concert live.

This DVD brings back happy memories from 1978 when I first bought the double album on vinyl. The live visual effects are stunning, especially the bringing back to life of Richard Burton. To sum it up, it's brilliant. Don't forget that you also get a copy of the HG Wells novel by Penguin that has an exclusive cover that is only available with this DVD. The only thing that disappointed me was the fact that the DVD has no English subtitles.

I'm not one of those people that only use the ebay reviews to advertise websites,(Ebay always seem to turn a blind eye them), but I will say don't let the sellers rip you off. Some say that this DVD is 'rare' and 'limited edition'. If it's so rare and limited, why did I buy it for only £5.99p with free postage from another reputed website about a week prior to writing this review? Some sellers sell it for £20 plus on here. If you pay that amount, I can only say that you must have more money than sense.

I have recently seen this live on stage and it was awesome. This DVD is the 2006 tour but is equally as good. Russell Watson plays Parson Nathaniel in this version & of course you have repeat performers like Justin Hayward & Chris Thompson (who were on the original 70's album).

The Martian machine is fab as it descends onto the stage. You even get a Richard Burton head that floats over the stage - unbelievable!.

The music is just as brilliant as it ever was - in the 2009 stage show the music even has a few extra bits so if you can get hold of the CD version of this you would have a great set!

If you can't get to the stage show then this DVD is for you! You even get a copy of the War Of The Worlds novel by HG Wells. Brilliant to read & inside there are even a few pictures of the 2006 tour!
