Wales Grand Slam 2008 Official Review - Collectors Edition (DVD)

The killing of giants by a country with as much population as Birmingham.
Viva Wales (I am Greek by the way!).

This 2 set DVD looks like a hurried version. Not much care taken over the editing. Tension is not built up during the highlights. Too much time wasted by including injuries and preparation for penalty kicks. 2005 version much better which included an option to view the ten best tries. Still, Wales won the Grand Slam! Hope the publishers do better next time. As this is the only DVD showing the Wales Grand Slam it will sell well - lucky there isn't another one!

The DVD is in two parts with the Wales v France game in full. The other matches are not well edited and although we know the results the clock in the corner of the screen adds a bit of spice to the procedings. There is no clock!!I was very disappointed in the England Wales game that the last ten minutes were obliterated and next thing we know it is the final whistle. The drama of the occasion is lost. Likewise with the other games, but at the end of the day the serious collector will be happy to re-live the Grand Slam when there is nothing else on the telly. I hope the makers of the DVD learn from this and that next year's Wales Grand Slam DVD will be better edited. The 2005 one was very good.
