Also includes a 20-page color booklet with a biographical essay, historical photos and comprehensive recording notes.Personnel includes: Jimi Hendrix (vocals, guitar, piano, harpsichord, glockenspiel); Dave Mason (acoustic guitar, background vocals); Noel Redding (bass, background vocals); Billy Cox (bass); Buddy Miles (drums, background vocals); Mitch Mitchell (drums); Juma Sultan (percussion); The Breakaways, The Sweet Inspirations, Roger Chapman, Andy Fairweather Low, Arthur Allen, Albert Allen (background vocals). Other featured nuggets include an impromptu, energetic cover of Chuck Berry's "Johnny B. Goode," and Hendrix's requisite incendiary deconstruction of the "Star Spangled Banner" played in the early morning hours of Woodstock. Report this review Jimi Hendrix - Voodoo ChildReview created: 07/01/07 by: I have been a hendrix fan for many a year, he is a great influence to my guitar playing, however i dont own any of his cd's and when i noticed a copy of his (The Jimi Hendrix Collection) up for grabs at a low price on ebay i thought i would buy it and see what it was like, Within 2 Days my album arrived and the first thing that i noticed was the quality of the item, it was fantastic, almost new as it said was an understatement, no marks on the disk or anything, so the cd played fine, the cd has all the greatest and many more hendrix classics on it and to any intrumentalist it is a must buy.
