I bought this camera because I had dropped mine and wanted the same model. It is very user friendly, and does a great job. Although I was not over impressed with the computer disc that came with it. I use a different programme for editing my pics. However the camera is so easy to work with. The large window at the back (2.4in)shows you exactly what you are taking a pic of, and if you wait till you have the 'green box' onscreen before you click, your pics are always in focus. I frequently use the ten sec delay feature to get in the frame with my friends. There is a blue indicator light on the front of the camera to let you know when the pic is about to be taken, so everyone can 'smile' at the right moment.I know you can buy more mega pixels for you money these days, but really, I have printed pics up to A4 size, and daresay they would go even larger without breakup. The memory card is a handy extra and I would recommend having one, and also if on holiday, keep a good stock of batteries, or rechargeables. Using flash mode quickly drains the batteries.

Being of the older generation needed a simple to use camera but one that could give good results.
Even without a manual I quickly picked up the basics and got some good results but after downloading a manual from the manufacturers website (5388 not available but 5385 is nearly the same) things became even easier#
So if you want an easy to use camera with above average performance for not to much money this camera is for you

for the size of the camera ,it is an excellant all rounder,bought for my wife and was very impressed ,very simple to use and there are no hidden faults overall a very good camera

i like the light weight, convenient shape, i can carry it everywhere and at any time, with her various features as night shot and sport, especially for children in the go who are so difficult to stay still, this is the only one i can manage with and i have owed more powerful camera with more megapixels, even with control shake, but it's not the same, i just love it! i only wish it could take a very powerful battery for longer journeys, but even so, i still can manage days without charging it! excellent product!

Why did I buy it?I'd dropped and irreparably damaged my previous camera and wanted a replacement quickly and at a reasonable price. In fact, this camera is MUCH better than my last one - great results and very easy to use. I would recommend it to anybody, or at least anybody who who doesn't have need for pictures of a magazine-publishing quality, I suppose. The only thing to remember is to use re-chargeable batteries, which appear to last for several hundred pictures, as opposed to standard batteries, which run out after only a couple of dozen pictures.
