I bought this camera recently for my Wifes birthday as the old digital camera we had was only 2.1 mega pixel and although took excellent pictures when someone was standing still did not give a great picture if there was the slightest movement. This wasted a lot of our picture and they had to be deleted. This new camera has all the latest feature including optical and digital zoom as well as sports mode and video mode with sound which is great when you have a 3.5 year old who is learning to play football. The camera has an excellent size of LCD screen which makes viewing pictures clearer and helps with the grandparents who can't see very well. The compatability and connectability to other appliances is very easy and self explanatory.

The only draw back I have found with this camera is that it has no view finder so you have to use the LCD screen at all times which is not too bad but when combined with using the flash regularly it drains the batteries quickly.

This is an alround good camera with excellent featured and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a decent camera with good quality pictures.

Practicability.
This is an easy to use camera with the possibility of changing the settings if needed.

Operation and quality.
Fairly simple 'Point and shoot' system producing good quality photos and video, sound recording is actually quite good too.
Zoom easy to access. 2.4 tft lcd monitor screen allowing easy picture set-up.

Adaptability.
Mine is loaded with a Sandisk Extreme III 1gb SD card and has videoed for 45mins non-stop!, between 300-145 pictures depending on picels.

Staying power.
I had read that the battery life might be short but have had great success with Kodak rechargeables, full 45 mins video.

On the down side. If there is one, just being picky.
The function button has lots on it ,do you really need all those settings.
In bright sunlight the screen can be a bit difficult to see.

Summary.
Great little, easy to use camera, good picture quality, reliable, excellent value for money.Recommended.
Bought because;
I wanted an easy to use camera to record training my horse. A child has operated the camera as hands are often busy. This had done the trick. Fast shutter is excellent when horse is in action.Providing an excellent record of events.

Comparable to 'Premier' 6mp - actually v.similar!. Easy to download.Photo suite disk is easy to use. Worth investing in a good SD card and batteries.

This is the 2nd Vivitar 6320 camera we have purchased. The first March 07 which I have, This one purchased end of Jan 08 is for my wife Susan. Easy to use, Takes SD Memory Cards which are inexpensive, we are using 2gb which will take around 550 pics at Max Pixel count. Uses Picbridge which means you just plug into USB and download as you wish. As others have said, it was heavy on batteries at the start,(Alkaline) we now use it with 2 x AA Lithium batteries so they last for Yonks!. Last but not least, a lovely crisp viewing screen. We are well pleased.

Compact little camera which provides good quality pictures.
However, it is disappointing that a camera costing this amount of money does not contain a small battery that can be recharged via a mains connection, which our previous, cheaper Vivitar did.

  Vivitar Digital Camera
Review created: 09/04/08

This is the second Vivitar camera I have bought the first as a birthday presant, the second for myself. It is a great value for money Camaera and there are some great deals to be had on e-Bay if you shop around.

The one thing to remember when buying a vivitar Digital Camara is the batteries. They do not reccommend you use alkaline Batteries as they do not last long at all. The ones the Camaera comes with will last about 5 min, so take this in to account. The cost of rechargables is not to bad when you think you will have to pay £4.99 for a pack of 4, a mains charger and 4 batteries with cost around £14.99.So you soon get you money back.

The camera is easy to use but like all things it pays to read the book first before going out.

I have not received the camera I purchased and am very worried as to why not. I have paid in full and am very concerned about this. I have e-mailed the seller but he has not replied. I order this item over a week ago and paid postage, so am very disappointed with the way this is being handled
