THE DVR310 IS THE OLDER VERSION FROM VIVITAR, THE NEWER DVR510 IS A LOT BETTER (I HAVE BOTH), LATER VERSION IS 5 MEGAPIXEL & CAN TAKE A LARGER CAPACITY SD CARD.
ON THE LOWEST DEFINITION WITH THE DVR310 YOU GET ABOUT 1.5 MINS OF VIDEO ON THE BUILT IN MEMORY,18 MINS. IF YOU USE A 512mb SD CARD, STILLS ARE NO PROBLEM ON LOW DEFINITION ABOUT 90 IMAGES IN BUILT, 1300 ON THE SD CARD.CONTROLS ARE A BIT FIDDLY & MENUS CAN BE LABOURIOUS, LIKE SOME MOBILE PHONES

WARNING THIS CAMERA EATS BATTERIES!!!! USE GOOD RECHARGEABLES & CARRY SPARES.

THE RESULTS WITH CAMERA ARE PRETTY GOOD, ESPECIALLY IN DAYLIGHT, THE CAMERA CAN GIVE FUZZY RESULTS WITH THE BUILT IN FLASH IF YOU ARE TOO CLOSE TO SUBJECT, MACRO HAS NO FLASH PROBABLY FOR THAT REASON.BUILT IN SOUND PLAYBACK IS LOW VOLUME, OK ON PC PLAYBACK.
LIKE ALL MEMORY CARDS,BACK UP YOUR FILES AS THEY CAN FREEZE & YOUR MEMORIES ARE LOST.
