Album Notes Coldplay return with 'Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends', an album that sees the band emerge from the success of 2005's 'X&Y' with the same hunger that has earned them global appeal since their 2000 debut 'Parachutes'. Lead single 'Violet Hill' contains trade mark catchy piano hooks, along with an uncharacteristic heavy guitar edge. Chris Martin continues to shine as a songwriter and musician, while his bandmates provide the ground on which the music can come to life. | |||||||||

Report this review I bought the cd as a gift for someone but I had a listen before I gave it to them! It was perfect in every single way. I was really pleased with it. It was such a bargain compared to buying in actual record shop such as HMV or something. retail price is around 14.99 euro! I got the cd for around 7 euro including postage and packaging. The album is a great listen every song is fantastic especially "viva la vida" and "violet hill". The cd cover is'nt the traditional plastic case its made out of sleek card instead. And the pictures are classic. Anyone who is a coldplay fan will thoroughly enjoy this cd. This album reveals a whole new side to coldplay even if your not into them this album will knock you for six.The only downside is that they'res only ten songs but you get over that. I thoroughly enjoyed this cd and I'm sure anyone who listens to it will to...:D Review ID: 10000000008015395 Was this review helpful? I've always thought Coldplay were the perfect band for creating albums which offered 2 or 3 fantastic tracks 2 each, and there really is no change. Even though this being the first album of their's i've come to own, this album in my own oppinion is no different from the rest. They have become more creative and more experimental which is the damaging blow and shame to the album Viva La Vida. If you are a die hard fan you'll probably buy the album anyway but dont expevt the best. 3 descent tracks- 8,9,10 7 unexplainable I say back 2 the drawing board and create someting with more normality.
