Visionaries - Knights Of The Magical Light (DVD 2004)

A classic cartoon series in my opinion - up there with He-Man and Transformers. Great effects and action - I cant believe it was ran so short as the whole lot is only on 2 DVDs. Running Time is 4 Hours 50 mins - so over a weekend you can easily watch the lot! The DVD is just like a regular DVD case with a 2nd disk insert so doesnt take up alot of room in your rack!

Worth buying if you remember it - kids of any age would love it - definetly more a boys cartoon though as there is lots of action and magic.

A short lived cartoon series set in a futuristic world dependent on science.

When all of a sudden the technology fails they are plunged into a new world of magic, two groups gain magical powers and the ability to transform into a creature resembling the personality of that person.

Some can control the old machines whilst others have magical staffs.

It is a shame it lasted for one short series.

I initially found out about this particular cartoon after picking up a DVD of cult sci-fi classic cartoons from my local pound shop. On it were a few episodes of Transformers, an episode of Bucky O'Hare, an episode of Inhumanoids and two episodes of Visionaries. After watching both of the episodes of Visionaries, I researched on the internet and found out that only 13 episodes were made, so I wanted to find the rest. I looked on ebay for the complete series and found it.

I always wonder if the memories of my youth are tarnished with age and I see things with rose tinted glasses, but in this case I think I was right. I loved this cartoon series as a child of the 80's and I admit that I love it now. OK, so it's cheesy and the animation is nothing compared to the likes of Toy Story or Shrek but it's the memories that it brings back that does it for me. Oh to be 10 years old again. :-)

Fantastic 2dvds consisiting of all 13 ever made episodes of Visionaries a true delight as i watched them back to back old style cartoon humor and brought back good memories.... only problem is now i feel old ! ! haha
