Story: As the result of a private plane crash, a deadly chemical warfare weapon is unleashed on the unsuspecting world. Soon thereafter, the only humans left alive are the members of international antarctic research teams.
Comments: This is 100 % pure disaster movie like Meteor, Earthquake & Towering Inferno. Great disaster Actors, great acting, very popular and known actors.
If You haven't seen this movie yet, please buy it, rent it or watch it on TV, it is VERY good.
Movie starts of with a russian scientist who has developed a virus in response to a american virus, he wants it to be shipped to a other location, people get shot, some escape on a plane, but plane crashes, releasing the virus.
Soon people start to die, and what surprises you quite quickly is that within the first 15 to 30 minutes of movie almost whole society has died out, and only a small group of explorers where it is cold have survived.
8 women on 850 men alot is said in movie and after the first woman gets raped, they decide that they must set up some sort off system for men who have needs and to think of future for children and such.
A japanese scientists then discovers that a earthquake is inbound to Washington DC. and atomic missiles MIGHT be triggered by the impact, so they decide to save the world by sending 2 men to Doomsland and suddenly they have discovered a vaccine for them.
A pre-earthquake hits them, and 1 person gets killed, the other accidently stumbles upon the firing button and sending off all missiles, soon after this movie ends.
A real classic MUST-SEE disaster movie that has to be in your collection if you collect disaster movies like Meteor, Earthquake & Towering Inferno for instance.
Definately Recommendable. A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ In my book :)
