Vibe BlackAir 10 Car Subwoofer

I bought two Vibe BlackAir 12 subwoofers for my son. They are a quality product that offers good value for money. The units look aesthetically pleasing with there alternative orange/gold material and machined outer. They have a quality feel when handled giving the impression they could withstand the odd accidental knock. And as these are being mounted in the boot of your average young driver thats no bad thing. The terminations are sturdy enough and can take the thickest of speaker wire although they are spring loaded posts so not as secure as threaded alternatives. I mounted the subs in custom made speaker boxes and the supplied instructions, complete with volume (as in space and not loudness) calculations, diagrams and fixings made the process as straight forward as possible.

The units are connected to an Alpine head unit and powered by a Vibe BlackBox 4 mono amplifier. Once installed the sound quality is excellent. I could not turn these up loud enough to get them to distort (bear in mind there was two). The bass is deep but clear and they handle low volumes well. You may not think that this is important, but actually a quality product can perform throughout the entire range not just at high volumes. I cannot fault the units and I'd be surprised if you could get better anywhere near the price, you would have to pay significantly more.
