Great Compilation

Good mix of main stream funk and some not so well known gems,overall a must for all funk lovers,and a good addition to your collection.

) If you like your disco funky, this is the album for you! All the tracks here are uncut either 7" versions or 12" versions and very well mastered considering that most of the tracks are from the mid or late 1970's.
Rather than single out any tracks (and for my money there are at least half a dozen absolute corkers that alone makes this album a must have), listening to some of the other tracks you may hear some which have been sampled in more modern tunes, but to hear the original is quite a revelation.
My only criticism is that the discs are not full, that is there is a few more minutes that maybe another 1 or 2 tracks could have been the 12" versions, but nonetheless it doesn't detract from the joy of just turning this up and gettin' funky! For info, CD1 is 71m 52s duration, the longest track is You + Me = Love at 11m 10s, CD2 is 75m 42s duration, and longest track is (Not Just) Knee Deep at 15m 21s. By and large I do have to agree with the selections which are the 12" versions which for me makes this a 5 out of 5.
