VAX Appliances VZL-6013 Mach 3 Bagless Upright Vacuum

I bought this as a cheap solution for cleaning a small, carpeted office. I have bought VAX models before and found them to be very noisy, cumbersome to use, and unreliable. Well, so far, this cleaner has been none of these. It's not quiet, but then it's not noisy either - probably average, noise-wise. It picks up everything with ease including animal "fluff" and so far hasn't needed the filter cleaning (something that needed to be done constantly on earlier models). Hopefully, VAX have resolved their reliability issues too. It needs to be stored in a small cupboard so the retracting handle is really useful - it fits under the wall-mounted boiler easily. Incidentally, the handle needed fitting when it arrived and it required a lot of force to slot it in, which was a little worrying.

I'm very pleased with the purchase, and at the price I paid (£36 including delivery) it was an absolute bargain!
