UB40 - Promises And Lies (CD 1993)

I sent a Postal Order for the CD as it seemed cheap enough although with postage not really. It was an impulse buy. Allegedly the postal order did not arrive. I found the receipt(but have mislaid it again)so have not checked with post office to see if it has been cashed. Only one email from seller and a couple from me..I am not particuarly bothered..but £5+ would be very handy right now. In future, unfortunately I shall not buy from sellers with only 1 feedback/sale.

great cd, played well, no scratches. great to get hold of older cd's at good prices. easy to locate on ebay and just as desription said when it arrived

It in good condition and will worth the money I paid for it and postage was good as well. The song are really good and worth listening to them well worth buy this one I real enjoyed this one and the other one called ub40 baggariddim its a real good one nice to relax to cheers kateh2510 buy this one

I love UB40 and really enjoy the music as it is easy listening.

I have many of the cd's for this band but lost this cd in a recent move. So I am glad now as I have been able to replace it.

I like ub40 it's the only one i didnt have... wasnt in bad condition but i did expect the case to be a little newer

I bought this album when it first came out on tape. I loved it & played it all the time which meant it got worn out as it was on tape.So I decide to buy it on cd.
Personlly i think its one of the best ub40 albums the songs are quite catchy & you'll find yourself singing along.Its not as reggae as some of their other albums but still very much in style of ub40. Quite a few of the songs on this album have been released as singles including c'est la vie & bring me your cup.
If you like ub40 then you'll love this album & its a must to all ub40 fans

I have always been a big UB40 fan, and although this is not one of my favourite albums there are a couple of great tracks on it. My favourites are 'Bring Me Your Cup' and 'Higher Ground' as Campbell's vocals are smooth and soulful . The lyrical content is quite political on this album, but it is fair to say that of most of UB40's own compositions.

l bought the item promises and lies cd because it was in a1 condition also 50p for a ub40 cd and at the price it was a bargin not to be missed seller sent in the very next day

I love their music and when I saw this for sale,thought I would have a listen to it and I enjoyed it.I can never have enough of their music.

The album is great i overplayed my old copy so this one is just what the doctor ordered. Will be going to see the band in December so just topping up the old tunes. The delivery of the package was great. I would like to thank you for my album.

UB40 = great music
I bought it because my old version was scratched and it was a must have replacement

As to be expected from UB40,another excellent album by the greatest reggae band ever,a must for any fan to have in their collection.
Includes Can't help falling in love with you,a personal favorite of mine.
