I absolutly love this film there is not a bad thing about it.
I brought this film because ive seen it before and loved it,it is a romantic comodey with loads of laughs. The story line is great because it states a point that it dont matter what someone looks like its on the inside that truely matters. So if you love romantic comodeys then you will be mad to miss this one.

I first saw this movie some years back, the title popped out at me as I was scanning through the DVD list on e-bay - so I decided to bid as I remembered enjoying it a great deal. It's one of those movies where you can sit in of an evening with a bar of chocolate and a bottle of wine and just merrily watch the movie, either alone or with friends. Good mix of the romantic hope in us all, with comedy scenes thrown in as well, you'll laugh quite a bit, cry a little and be left with a nice warm fuzzy feeling after watching!! I suppose most would consider this a bit of girly film and I suppose in many ways it is but none the less enjoyable for it!! Happy watching x

A lovely film about a lady who is a vet and she hosts a radio show about pets and she gets drawn to a man who calls in with a query about his dog. A great romantic movie!

I've always enjoyed Janeane Garofalo's humor, and she convincingly, understandingly conveys what it's like to believe you're ugly and unlovable.

Ben Chaplin, he of the Perpetual Puppy-Dog Eyes, is perfectly cast as the love interest. I would never in a million years have figured him for a leading man role, but he's so right as a smitten suitor, not entirely sure of what he's feeling or what his next move should be, but enjoying the wild ride anyway.

Even Uma Thurman gets to work her acting chops in a role parallelling Garofalo's, as a blonde model who just wants to be taken seriously. Her pastry scene with Chaplin is one of the most erotic I've ever watched.

The chemistry between the three is natural as can be, and even though the whole movie is clicheed, it never feels like it is. Don't look for anything deep here; it's simply a great movie.
