True Romance (DVD 2003)

Everything fine, but the image of the DVD adevertised is for the special edition with commentaries, etc...the one i received is the standard one...so not happy as it is obviously misleading

to be honest i bought this for a friend of my wifes!who says that it is a very good film an she had to watch again an again i personely aint got a clue as it dont sound like a blokes film aparently its a snuggle up under a duvet with ya girly m8s film so its a film for the wifes lads an a excuse to go for a beer an a game a pool hahaha

I love this film, tip top, even though i hate tarrintino this film is buzzin', ya'll must watch it because it's such a cute and accelerated look at love and relationshops, it's sturdy, it's fresh, it's constructive and most of all, it's honest.

This is my all-time favourite film. It is the third copy I have bought as I have loaned it to people and they have loved it so much they kept it! Written by Quentin Tarantino. Drugs and mob violence meets romance.

Well its got Guns, Sex, Drugs, and a Love Story all in one Movie, and what a movie this is, if you liked Pulp Fiction then you will love this. Will keep you Hooked from start to finish, loads of Stars, a Great Story and Hip sound track(your so cool-hans zimmer)make this movie stand out from the crowd.
Enjoyed this movie, and will watch again at some point...its just that good!

Quentin wrote the script for this and you can see Pulp Fiction in the making here, very good film as good as Pulp in my mind, now over 15 years old, with some great moments from Dennis Hopper, and Gary Oldman, buy it!

a modern classic, great casting in both main actors, also lots of good quality cameo actors, is always a sign of a good film! script strong, but with the twists expected from tarantino, i was not dissapointed!! full of humor and underline romance, for me make a complete all round film!! *****

Fantastic film, could watch over and over (like a monkey with a miniture symbol) - really do rate this film - bought it because it was written by tarantino and am very glad i did

Directed by Tony (Top Gun) Scott and scripted by Quentin Tarantino - How could this go wrong ?
Quentin Tarantino wanted his name taking off the credits because Hollywood changed his ending but this doesn't affect the quality of the picture. (The Special edition has an alternative ending anyway)
The film is one of my favourites and is one which gets better with every watch.
It is very stylish and the dialogue is genius. An all star cast is lead by Christian Slater and Patricia Arquette. Look out for Gary Oldman, Sam L Jackson, Chris Penn, Tom Sizemore, Brad Pitt, Val Kilmer, Michael Rapaport, James Gandalfini amongst others, in supporting/cameo roles.
Also Dennis Hopper and Christopher Walken in what has become a classic scene in all of movie history.

I haven't gone into the story but I'm sure you know it anyway so I will just give you my verdict.
I owned this on vhs then on dvd and when the special edition came out I bought that aswell - You simply have to own it.
It keeps you gripped from start to finish and the performances are superb throughout. Each character is perfectly cast.
I cannot fault this film.

i bought it because it was tarrentinos second script which he sold too cheaply and being a big fan of all tarrentinos work I new it would be awesome.It is a roadtrip with a liberal amount of tarrentinos classic gangsterism. believe it or not it still manages to be a romance too but not sickly or boring ,it also shows where later actors for pulp fiction came from ,good enough to watch several times over like all of his films .
