Very definitely up there with the best films ever made and you will see why when you watch it. The title name may not fill you with great expectations but it is a movie which has enormous appeal for both the guys and the ladies.
Christian Slater and Patricia Arquette play the lead roles as a romantic pair who get together on his birthday due to a bit of a prank played on him by his boss.
She turns out to be a first-time call girl and her pimp is truly insane - enter one Gary Oldman in an unforgettable role in dreadlocks and an accent to go with them but still the lily-white pigmentation of his previous roles. The fun begins when Slater asks Arquette the now immortal "who or what is a Drexle?" and then there's the small matter of a suitcase full of dope.
With flawless acting throughout this gem of a movie, written by Quentin Tarrantino, will leave you wanting more and the only way you will get more of this quality in a movie is to watch it again, which I can guarantee you will.
Dennis Hopper plays a memorable part as Slater's estranged father and Christopher Walken effortlessly carries off, with typical Walken humour, quite the most coolly menacing mobster you're ever likely to see.
Buy it, Watch it, Cherish it because it is quite brilliant!
