I found this film absolutely hilarious from start to finish! Infact it was so good we even watched the directors commentary version too, which was just as funny because it was Ben Stiller, Robert Downey Junior (still in character) and Jack Black - an absolutely hilarious combination! Honestly, this has to be one of the funniest films in recent years. I love Ben Stiller's comedy anyway and Zoolander is an absolute classic, but, I have to say that Tropic Thunder is equally as funny. So if you haven't seen it yet you must!

A group of self-absorbed actors set out to make the most expensive war film. But after ballooning costs force the studio to cancel the movie, the frustrated director refuses to stop shooting, leading his cast into the jungles of Southeast Asia, where they encounter real bad guys.

I wanted it because it was the last movie my late husband and I watched on the day he died... just few hours after. Cannot watch it just yet.

Not much to say other than it is worth getting this film on DVD. If you didn’t see it at the cinema then you missed out as it was tremendous on the big screen.
Very funny film with quotes that will stay with you as long as those from Anchor Man.
Ben Stiller is great, as is Jack Black. Robert Downey Jnr would have been the star of the film if it was not for Tom Cruise as Les Grossman. I didn’t realise it was him until the end credits!

This film was way way overated , to much unnecissary swearing , very very boring , turned off just after half way as i felt myself drifting off to sleep . Very dissapointed . Great for people who enjoy bad language and boring story lines .

Absolutly love the film, really good, really funny and the actors did a great job. Is even better when you've seen other movies with them in!

Not the best film in the world but my missus sat goiggle all through it so it cant be half bad. Loved Tom Cruise, bit of a departure from his normal stuff.
Kind of film you have to watch twice just to pick up on the bit's you missed.

If you're looking for plenty of laughs, then this is definately the movie for you!! Plenty of new, fresh, comic angles coming at you, and bags of hilarity. A Vietnam movie becomes a reality for it's vain, Hollywood movie stars, who are incredibly self-absorbed, and assume they are still in a movie, even when their director (Steve Coogan), is blown to pieces! Robert Downey Junior definately steals the movie here, and his make-up is fantastic, you'll have to look hard!! Great film for all the family, and one you could certainly enjoy time and again. A++++

One of the funniest movies to come out recently...Tom Cruise plays one of the best Cameo's ever. Genius

The first hour of the film has an energy and wit that makes it a joy to behold, but as Stiller tries to tie it all together into a cohesive hole, the humour drains from the piece, and it all becomes a little tiresome.

War Hollywood-style's worst offence is lip-quavering, flag-waving jingoism, a stomach-turning affectation that is just aching to get a satirical slap. Stiller steers well clear.

Apparently actors are narcissistic and Hollywood is ruthless… Stiller doesn’t say anything we don’t know, but stand-out turns from Downey Jr and Cruise make Tropic Thunder very funny for all its flaws.

This film is hilarious. It’s not going to win any Oscars and won’t tax your brain but it does exactly what it says on the tin and dishes the laughs out like they are going out of fashion.

There are moments of comedy grandeur, but this isn’t as consistently funny as you’d hope. Nevertheless, Downey Jr.’s Kirk Lazarus is instantly up there with the comedy greats.

Bit concerned if this is a copy, but mine played fine and good price, so can't really complain. Great film, loads of action and laughs. Robert Downey Jr is the star - so good my daughter thought he wasn't the same actor playing the part of the white man playing the black man! As he said, "I'm a dude, playing a dude who looks like another dude." Something like that anyway - was laughing so much! Found some of his words difficult to catch, but subtitles sorted that out! Got better as the film went on, especially when he got out the big guns and turned on the drugs gang, throwing off another disguise - another part he played brilliantly. We love Ben Stiller's films and he didn't hog the main part, even though he directed and produced this. He and Jack Black great too, not to mention Tom Cruise, Steve Coogan and Nick Nolte. 'Tropic Thunder - Get Some'.. Go get it!

I Love Jack Black And Ben Stiller So i Buy all there movies mostly blacks becuase he entertains me a little more than Ben stiller. But If You Luk At The Case Stiller Directed It Produced It Wrote It So Its Got His Finger Prints All Over it.I Thought personaly the real star was ROBERT DOWNEY JUNIOR Simply becuase hes white thats a black dude that was reeling in people frfom juss the thought then that almost queer mr t voice was funny

If You Want to laugh hard you will laugh hard juss not through out but when those funny bits cum off you wont stop laughing for ages its liek this

Well im a big fan of Ben Stiller anyway, i think he is hilarious! The film itself did not dissapoint me, was very funny from the start and would definately recommend to anybody who wants a laugh.

The dvd arrived without its clear packaging and the back of the cover was slightly pierced. However, I was impressed with the fast delivery.

Robert Downey Jnr plays a blinder! So many hilarious scenes which will have you in stitches! You will thorough enjoy this movie fro start to finish.
