Album Notes Available only through select retailersPersonnel include: Trick Trick (rap vocals); Eminem, Jazze Pha, Obie Trice, Proof (rap vocals); S. King (guitar); L. Resto (keyboards).Recording information: The Bat Cave, Skokie, Illinois (2005).With its sounds of guns being loaded, shots ringing out, and people screaming, the intro to Detroit MC Trick Trick's THE PEOPLE VS. sounds like a scene from a horror film. That level of raw intensity continues through THE PEOPLE VS., with Trick Trick's roughshod voice, adrenaline-fueled delivery, and tales of ghetto life matched by stuttering, push-pull beats and ominous-sounding samples. Eminem, Detroit's #1 hip-hop son, appears on two tracks, heightening Trick Trick's profile by association. A couple slow jams and tracks like the Jazze Pha-produced "Attitude Adjustment" bring some slinky funk to the proceedings, but for the most part this is hardcore gangsta rap that should please fans of the genre.
