My son loved this film when he was younger (6-7 yrs old).
It never seemed to get the full Disney treatment, of advertising, toy's in the shops kind of thing, but I don't know why because it's very good.
It's well worth seeing.

as my grandchildren have worn out the old one.

i actually purchased this to keep the kids quiet, but like most of these childrens animated adventures its pretty good to watch, well for the first three times that is not a bad film at all and well put together.

wonderful family film, great pirate story (my lad is mad on pirates) told by disney loosely based on treasure island with wonderful caracters

Great family film. The plot is very good and based on a children's classic. The mix of 18 century galleons as spaceships is interesting, but they just about pull it off. The scenary rendering is amazing, however, the characters are not rendered so well. The feature kept both the children and the adults gripped for the length of the film.

The extras on the disc should have been dropped, they are pointless.

this film is about a boy who is always getting into trouble he constantly dissapoints his mother but then something intresting happens that leads him on the most dangerous adventure of his life i have watched this film a few times and love the storyline its a bit predictible but still really good

This is a Superb Production of a very high quality of sound and vision , A great story and a Mesmerising vocal from the late great Patrick McGoohan , Kids and Adults alike will love this

I hadn't seen this before (neither my kids) so decided to give it a go - & we were all absolutely delighted with this one.

Obviously the basic storyline is from Treasure Island with a difference of course !!

Well what can I say - to have a 16 year old and 18 year old glued to the tv it must be good !!

Excellent adaptation of the original. Great entertainment for all the family. Another great Disney film

this is an excellent film action packed fun for kids great pirate story great for little boys especially great animation a film to watch over and over great story behind it

I bought this DVD for my grandson, as it was all he talked about when he came down, Ha wanted to watch it as soon as I gave it to him.. I sat and watched it with him I didn't think it was going to be my type of film !! BUT to my surprise I really enjoyed it to.. Bought a second copy to keep at mine...

Seeing as these are going so cheap on Ebay youd think it was really poor but as Disney films go this is pretty good, its not as great as the Disney Classics like Snow White or Cinderella but my son really enjoyed it its got all the action and adventure and its definantley worth a watch.

a great re-telling of a classic story. my 5 year old boy loves it ! he watches every other day and almost knows every word, but he still really enjoys watching it. the characters a very good and of the story linr is brilliant. i especially like the space age use of galleon type ships with solar sails - brilliant

Great disney film that all the family will enjoy i watched it with my little girl it was supposed to be just her watching it but i got into it and at watching it just as much as she was. Great family film the kids will love it

such a great movie with a good twist on an old story. the soundtrack is great throughout and it sets the moods excelently.
The relationship between silver and jim are one of the best portrayed ones in all the versions of treasure island. its realy realy good.
It is also funny throughout with humour for all kinds, weather adult or child, witty geniuses or silly sods.
i didnt give it full marks because its just a rehash of an old movie (thats been rehashed alot) but being set in space gives it a freshness and even grander scale of adventure.....

With his father out of the picture and his mother at her wit's end, Jim Hawkins is a rebelous teenager seen by the world as a slacker with no future. Yet another of Disneys Knockout Animations. Mixing an old story in space age time. Well presented and good fun to watch for all ages

I decided to buy this dvd because im a lover of disney and needed this dvd to help complete my disney dvd collection. I had never seen treasure planet before i bought it and i thought that it was an excellent disney film.
