Excellent speaker, nice and loud.

Superb Software supplied, updates tomtom, maps, sounds etc all from the pc in one place.

Nice and bright, only very occasionally sun obscurs screen but only very occasionally.

Very compact and battery seems to last for ages.. Excellent if needed on foot.

Well worth the money, definately recommended.

I must say I have been using this for a while now. Ive used many software platforms and tomtom comes top of the list for easy to use software and best in the range. Tomtom one is very small and is very portable. A very good buy from the tomtom range. I give this product a 5/5 for features, usability and friendliness to the user.

The tomtom one is one of the lower priced units on the market today but dont let this put you off it has some excellent and useful features over and above the usual navigation features. Individual buttons can be pressed to show you your nearest petrol station and cash point airport etc just to name a few. Entry of addresses is easy and includes full postal code entry to minimise entry details and navigate you to the door of your destination. The inbuilt speed camera location warning system works well (which i got as a special offer thrown in) User options are all there including male or female voice, use of which types of road, automatic screen brightness control working of the inbuilt clock or user setable, type of map and information display etc. The add on option of real time traffic updates via radio is a neat unit that fits the tomtom one well and should be helpful to avoid traffic jams.

The instruction manual is easy to use however the on screen menus are very intuitive and quickly allow you to set up your preferences or enter destinations. The tomtom one will work straight from the box. A 'non technical' friend had no problem in setting up and using the unit.

Any dislikes? Not really. Choice of road types and fast or most direct route options can lead to some slightly surprising choices of route although so far they have proved accurate and reliable. Detail goes down to unmetalled tracks from motorways. You can set the unit to not use the 'farm tracks' though the tomtom one can be set to at least alert you to the existance of the very small roads that would give you the most direct route. Fast routes will generally be limited to using at least A roads though the distance will usually be greater than the more general option.

The supplied unit comes with UK and Ireland maps already loaded. A wide range of other maps on SD cards are available from tomtom via there web site

Overall I rate the tomtom one an excellent satnav unit for a low cost compared with the competition.

This sat nav is the best thing ever bought, it gets you (stress free) to your destination, you can get there even if you don't know the post code just a street name will do. The voices are a bit anoying but you can down load new ones so thats not too bad. It has a night time mode so that the screen changes colour and its easy to see in the dark, its also slimline. The only thing to watch for on any sat nav is it can tend to take you the long way round but if you have no idea where you are going who cares.

Purchased the tom tom to be used for a holiday in Florida,absolute bargain,came with SD card and maps of Florida already downloaded.Very hard to get lost,saved time and was very accurate,use it now on the odd occasion when travelling in the UK.

Excellent product, had an IPAQ with Tom Tom fitted but this is excellent. Full postcode capability and bluetooth compatible if you want to use additional services. would be lost without it. everything is enclosed in one compact product with no additional aerials, its so easy to use, I also bought one for my wife after using it as its is so easy to use. Maps etc are excellent.

I was happy when I got the deal of Tomtom but did not relise there could be any fault, Navigation show long rote all the time and when you choose the destination you will reach at the different place. But cant complaint now so planning to upgrade the same.

Having used a tomtom one for the last 6years, I have never had any problems plus any query in regards the tomtom were easily answered with tomtom service department.
My old tomtom was used by my son so, as a present to him on his birthday I bought him a tomtom on ebay, this is in excellent condition and working fine.

does cost abit, makes you wonder if its better to buy a brand new sat nav as it would have updated maps rather then an older satnav with older maps, over all great product and very happy.

This is my first TomTom sat nav and I am surprised at how easy to use it is.
Idiot proof for non technical lady driver!!Very neat with easy to follow instructions.
My previous system was very complicated and did not function so well.The window mounting system of the Tom Tom is also much more compact than my previous one.
recommended for ease of use.

Its compact, assists easily with journeys, good user interface easy to use and lots helpful options.Clear intructions and easy to set.

I like about the Tom Tom One th fact it is so very simple to use and has all of the right settings for my needs.

It has an easy to 'plug and go' system and has everything you need from a Tom Tom One for 2009...Shame you have to go online and actuallu purchase things such as Speed Camera awareness's

The voices are not to my liking but John Cleese certainly most probably soon will be :o)

I bought it because i travel around a lot for business and also faiily trips too and its nice to find quicker routes plus helpful with diversions too, Esp for dumb ass's like me lol who cant really 100% read maps properly without taking a wrong turn and ending up in London than in Midlands!

I purchased this Sat Nav after having a bad experience with another Sat Nav manufactured by another company. This other Sat Nav, from Binatone, was unclear, nearly caused an accident and was more stress than it was worth. This effort from Tom Tom is the exact opposite, the 3rd generation of the Tom Tom One is the best I have seen yet. My Dad had a Tom Tom One 1st generation in 2006 which I was always impressed with and this one does not disappoint.

I really can't fault this Sat Nav at all, clear directions, good software, USB connectivity, great interface.

Just purchased this so I have not received it yet, but I know its a good one as I borrowed a colleagues for a works trip to Birmingham and it got me right to the door of where I wanted to be with no problems. I couldn't have made it there smoothly without it.
