Entry level tomtom sat nav device that replaced the tomtom 300, this model is much slimmer than its predecessor, meaning you can slip it in your pocket for safe keeping. Easy to use even for the beginner, you can either type in town then road name (even the street number) on its 3.5 inch touchscreen, or the postcode and it will take you straight there. You can store your frequently visited places so you don't have to re-type the address each time. Very useful, especially if you have speed camera locations loaded on it (Might pay for itself in saved fines !)

I was in the market for a SatNav system, and had obviously heard of TomTom a while ago, but with all the new names in the market, i wanted to shop about a bit and do some research to find out which really was the best for me.
This is a salient point - that there are lots of great SatNavs out there, but some are more suited to your purposes than others. I mean why bother paying £250-£300 on a system with a load of features that you'll never ever use? Even if you can afford it, it's still pointless!
So, i don't drive abroad very often at all, so that's not worth having, and i have a few friends who have traffic info on their SatNavs and it's a waste of time by all accounts, so as long as i have the GB maps on the machine, and a decent screen, and the road traffic cameras on it, i'm happy. This left me with the choice between manufacturers - TomTom? Garmin? The other ones(?!) - My friends kindly allowed me to nick their satnavs for a couple of days so i could try them out and see which i liked. One friend was given a Garmin for nothing. "I still felt like I'd been ripped off" were his exact words... Not glowing praise indeed - and i must say useability-wise, it's not great, especially when you want to quickly access something on the move or in a quick pit-stop.
Basically, TomTom i found to be the one with the features i needed, at a good price, and easiest to use. The ability to download new things to it like voices (gotta love John Cleese) and the location of the nearest Burger King (eh?!) is good too...
All in all, i can whole-heartedly reccomend the TomTom One. It's a great piece of kit, and if you can get a brand new one through e-bay for much less than retail like I did, all the better!!!

This is a great compact little sat nav system. It is very easy to use with a great menu system all accessed on the touch screen. The best way to get one is to buy the basic package then any extra's e.g. Voices, maps, traffic or speed camera's, can be purchased online through the tomtom website, (usually bundled together).
If your after a cheap and easy to use Sat Nav System then you can do no wrong with this one.

I decided to buy this GPS unit as they have become very popular with the ease of use, compact size, good size display and spare parts are easy to get hold of.
I have no dislikes about the unit and would recommend it to all looking for a in car GPS unit.

This product was delivered very quickly and was in brand new condition. I was very good value for money being at least £30 cheaper than the same product from the shops. It is very easy to operate and has been a really handy gadget have used it several times and will use it a lot more.

Instant replanning if you take a wrong turning (Unlike another make I used which took ages)
Bad points:
You have to hold the on button down for a while to turn on sometimes (tried two, both the same)... once in a while they refuse to turn on at all and you have to reset them by pressing a pin into the reset hole.

It is very fast to locate a GPS signal and easy to use! I like the fact that it is a stand-alone system meaning no external GPS antennas. The size is perfect and its literally plug and play straight out of the box. I would recommened this TomTom to everyone.

The package was sealed and in original box it came with a redeemable voucher. there for proving authentication which is important to me. Tomtom are probably the best known make of sat nav and it has so far proven to be a very good value for money buy.The buy it now option allowed me to purchase it at a price i liked without waiting about or risk of being out bid. While ensuring i would recieve it within a certain time frame. what prompted me to buy this sat nav is the seller had good feed back proving to be a valuable ebay member.

I bought this sat nav because I wanted a better one than I already had. My husband swore that Tomtom were the best and it was worth bidding. I am so glad I won as now when I am driving anywhere I know if there are speed cameras or traffic hotspots which is a god send.
Like all sat navs sometimes if you know the area you are going to the directions don't match the same route you would take but it is worth sticking with the sat navs directions (I know I decided to take my own route and got really lost!!!).

i brought the tomtom one gps receiver with a small fault you could put the postcode in and it would find it.but as you drive along it would change to options then you put it right it would go back to options again but it would still give you directions the person did tell me this how sold it to me.i found out the reason it did this it was because the screen was being pressed to hard so now it works ok. so now i can say i got a bargain ive been to cornwall and back no problems.

Excellent piece of technology, allows me to find places as my geogrophy isn't very good.Having used other brands of Sat Nav's I find this one to be very user friendly, for those of us that were born prior to the techno revolution this was a big selling point for me, only dislike I have is that it needs to be updated from time to time to keep up with road changes, would be nice if the information was updated automaticly from the satelite whenever the machine was switched on. Would buy this brand of machine again if I needed to.

i got a tomtom for when i go driving i my spare time i have had no luck with them i got two of them one did not work full stop and i am in the middle of tryingto sort out mysecond one there is no sound on it i got this from clearence bargains they havebevery helpfull so far but i have had my fill wth tomtoms wilkinson83

I had seen a friends TomTom One and compared it to the steam powered satnav i had, and the was NO comparison. This has everything you could need, and is fully updatable from the net. Hopefully this wont lead me down any dead ends like my museum piece did regularly!!!

my tom tom will get me or any one of my family to there destination and back home allowing lots of time for the journey or stops on the way for fuel or food, it will give me an alternate route if required and give me all the facts and roads i will be going on for my journey and yes it is so easy to use and it will help me keep my licence with speed camera software a lifesaver.

TomTom one Version 3 Sat NavWonderful little TomTom Sat Nav. It has a slim design which fits into a handbag or large coat pocket, Easy to use and has a superb day or night glare feature.
As with all TomTom products it's easy to install and change the maps and extra voices etc by using the TomTom website.
Only down side with mine it takes a little time to find a satellite when you first turn it on, could be just a glitch with mine as I didn't buy it from new.
Plus there are very little customer service/phone/internet services when things go wrong as they are based in the Netherlands.
I Would recommend it to a friend.

I just recieved the tom tom yesterday went out to use it today out in the lanes the tom tom suddenly had lines coming down the centre then went off not working no more went on web site to find out about warranty nothing is clear on what to do i would like to speak with someone about it no telephone numbers not happy with product.
