Possibly the best Bond since You Only Live Twice

Ok this is as we know the strongest storyline in the Brosnan cycle of Bonds, enough pastiche within it to satisfy the die hard fan, plenty of action and a touch of the exotic in the character of Wei Lin, not a blonde bimbo which the viewers had suffered in earlier Bond excuirsions, one that was certainly capable of holding her own. Jonathon Pryce as Elliot Carver the newspaper magnate made a suitable villain, showing a cold hearted villain which was reminiscient of Donald Pleasances portrayal of Ernst Stavro Blofeld ( a great pity he never got to reprise the role), of all the characters, possibly Terri Hatcher as Paris Carver is the weakest and is unconvincing as the former spurned lover, certainly nowhere near as believable as Diana Rigg in OHMSS.
Over all, a high action romp, which incorporates a number of familiar characters from Desmond Llewellyn as Q, to Joe Don Baker as Jack Wade. Of all the Brosnan Bonds, this is one I never get bored with and only the Intro sequence to Die Another day, comes anywhere near it.
