Entry level tomtom sat nav device that replaced the tomtom 300 and classic GO, this model is much slimmer than its predecessors, meaning you can slip it in your pocket for safe keeping. Easy to use even for the beginner, you can either type in town then road name (even the street number) on its 4 inch touchscreen, or the postcode and it will take you straight there. You can store your frequently visited places so you don't have to re-type the address each time. Very useful, especially if you have speed camera locations loaded on it (Might pay for itself in saved fines !)
There are many free websites where you can download POI's (Points of Interest) like swimming pools, congestion charge zones or a particular shop brand. (You may need a bigger SD card for large quantities, I recommend a 512Mb)
Beware, thieves love them, always take it out of the car with you, also remove the bracket from the window or they might break-in just to check it's not under the seat or in the glove box.
I have the upgraded 510 now but the tomtom one is just the same when it comes to directions and after all, that's what it's for. Bin your maps and get ONE !

Fantastic piece of kit if like me you have no sense of direction. Very easy to setup and use with a large touch screen display. I used this to replace a Garmin Street Pilot and will never go back. Extras available from TomTom online. Why get lost when you can get a TomTom !!!!

BEST TOM TOM BY FAR!!!!!!!!! ALL THE NEW ONES HAVE INTERNAL MEMORY WHICH ONLY HOLDS 1 COUNTRY AT A TIME, THE OLD ONES LIKE THIS HAVE A SD CARD SLOT SO YOU CAN JUST SWAP OVER FROM COUNTRY TO COUNTRY. IE... UK! SWAP TO USA! SWAP TO SPAIN! SWAP TO IRELAND OR BACK TO UK AGAIN!!! SIMPLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the least irritatating of the TomTom One range, it is Bluetooth connected so gets REAL up to date traffic reports unlike the others with the RCD connected and cash generator, sorry safety cameras, although there is a subscription charge you get all the messaging service and community contacts, for the money off of e-bay this is fantastic value

This is a great product! But it can be expensive! I'm glad I found www.freeiphoneforme.co.uk where I got mine for free :)
All I did was sign up and then completed one simple offer. I recommend the Lovefilm free trial offer as it only takes a few minutes to complete and its only a simple trial!
My personal recommendation is the Coral offer as it is quick, easy and only costs £5.

This sat nav works very well but it cheaper than most. Why do other models cost so much more? The only niggle I have is how easy it is to damage the touch sensitive screen when storing the unit out of sight in the car glove box. Repairs are usually expensive, so invest in a protective case!

Good SatNavIt is reliable, light weight and easy to use.
I noticed that in central London it sometimes doesn't give very accurate directions but you will still not get lost as it corrects itself very quickly.
I had it for only 2 weeks so I can't really judge its long term performance.

) This is a good little sat nav, without too many frills. I was hoping that it's bluetooth meant it could show incoming phone calls from a paired mobile but it doesn't. It only uses the mobile link to get traffic reports.(This was not explained in the advertisment)
It is very easy to use and seems very accurate with its directions.Overall very happy with it for the money. Chris.
