Great Product, very easy to use.

However I had problems updating my version, which had nothing to do with the seller but is a common problem with TomToms. It is easily resolved by backing up the internal memory, then formatting it. Then download the latest TomTom Home and run the update.

I am very happy with the product, but due to the bugs with TomTom Home I do regret not going for a model of the Garmin range.

Lightweight, clear and easy to follow, speed camera detection and loads of points of interest.

Really happy I went for the TomTom Explore!

Does exactly what it says on the tin, very straight forward and user friendly. Only downfall is that you can not expand the memory capacity. It has 512mb built-in memory which is sufficient for normal use with 1 or 2 maps.

I decided to buy this item because it was a top brand name at a reasonable used price. The tom tom is easy to use and gives clear direction. I'd definitely recommend this item for a basic SatNav.
On the downside, this model of Tom Tom does not have a card slot to swap maps or add user community updates. I knew that when I bought it, and am not expecting to need to add anything on top of the European maps that are already loaded into the internal memory.
Overall it is a great little device that is available at a reasonable price in the used market place.

I travel quite a lot and my geographics are the worst, I already have the tom tom 1 original sat nav which really needed updating so I bought this one. I think its a real bargain. I found the screen to be smaller and clearer than my original one and I do believe all Tom Toms are so easy to understand, which really is important to me as I am not the most computer literate person I know. All the directions are clear and precise and give you plenty of notice to enable you to get in the right lane. If you have never used a sat nav or would use one only occasionally, I think a refurbished one is a real bargain and a more economical way of finding out whether you would make good use of it. I believe once you have had one you would never be without one.

I was looking for a GPS which was reparable, to load USA maps, and to send to my lad touring in USA unfortunately it had more problems then I had expected. Never get a faulty one its more trouble then its worth. Got one from USA 910 preloaded with USA maps all for £40.

i would recomend 1 of these to everyone. i was for ever getting lost but not any more. it is realy easy to use (even the wife can use it ) all you have to do is put the postecode in to were it is you want to go and then just follow the directions that it tells you to. then comming back all you have to do is tell it to go home. simple as that

This unit not only has got me where i want to go with none or very little trouble (i missed a street once but could see destination from where i was) but has some good alternative voice downloads free. (just move past the paid pages on the home page). Thses can be picked up on ebay and other places if you shop around for approx 80 quid, (mine cost 70) in my humble opinion it is all you`ll ever need and it gets you there, why pay more?, use the extra money for something useful, like flowers for your partner or beer for you, lol.

There are many types of these units on the market. Be sure to check the MPN on the base of the unit to ensure you get what you pay for. The spec`s vary so much it is worth doing some reseach.....

I have never owned a GPS before and as this was destined to be a present, thought I never would. I was a bit dubious about how easy it might be to set up and use. Particularly as the person it was for, is a woman and so couldn't read maps. I tested it in my own car and it couldn't have been easier. Using it as a novelty until the birthday, was delighted to discover that after only a weeks lesson, she began to understand what it could do for her. I'm so convinced of it's value that I shall buy one for myself. And without any doubt, it shall be the same model. And definitely, the same company I bought this from.

I travel a lot by car and this gadget has made my travelling a pleaure. It has so far been 98.9% accurate. The other 1.1% was in country areas so its no big deal. If any one is looking for a tomtom and has never used one before this is definatley one to use.
