Tom Jones - Greatest Hits [Remastered] (CD 2003)

why did I buy it , because I wanted the complete tom jones to download onto my ipod, and because tom jones is from my homeland it's a must in my thought. The price was just right as well

I just like Tom, always have, and this Album lives up to my Review Title.

His voice has lost nothing of the quality that we associate with such classic numbers such as, "Coming Home", "She's A Lady", "Kiss" etc etc. This guy was BORN to sing, and even though many would regard him in his old age as,"past it", I, and many more thousands of us still enjoy his musical excellance, whether it be the traditional "belters", or the slower ballads, and as far as I'm aware nobody in this Country has come anywhere near matching his ability to deliver the sound, and range, that his voice STILL possesses!.

Well, it started like this...
No seriously, I kept singing to myself (and my cat), and I use the term 'singing' loosely, Pussycat! Then I realised I also liked Unusual, Green Grass, Delilah, It's Not Unusual etc so I thought it was about time I bought an album with them all on and this Greatest Hits one fits the bill perfectly.
The only problem with it was that the song Please Release Me isn't on there...and then I discovered that one was by Engelbert Humperdink, so that'll be why then!
That's the next one on my wish list.

a good cd with quite a few old hits on it. i collect the older not so famous songs and this cd has some on as well as some newer ones

this is a must have album for all tom jones fans, full of his most memberal songs its not unusual to baby its cold outside. and who can forget kiss featuring the art of noise also theme for bonds thunderball a remarkable album

I PURCHASED THIS CD, AS AFTER LENDING SOME OF MY CDS OUT TO VARIOUS PEOPLE, THIS ONE WAS NEVER RETURNED. I AM FAIRLY NEW TO EBAY AND FOUND WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR AT A FANTASTIC PRICE. I ALSO HAVE MANY VINYL ALBUMS THAT I WOULD LIKE TO REPLACE WITH CDS AND WILL NOT HESITATE TO USE EBAY.

Having converted most of my old video collection to DVD I was thrilled to find this film gem in digital format. If you watch this in widescreen format, it really does the battle scene great justice; coupled with surround sound, you'll be gripped by the amazing cinematography. I would recommend the director's cut that includes scenes about the relationship between the lead character and his estranged wife and helps you to understand the motivation behind his decision. The run time is 183 minutes for the directors cut and 120 minutes for the cinema version. I was, however, disappointed by the lack of extras, which any fan of this classic would expect to be included. There's only a 20-minute interview with the director and other shot "making-of" vignettes. cheers barry

the cd is great i love the songs i like tom jones and my friend likes him to she buys all of his albums and i do to. i would like more of his albums if he brings anymore out i like a good taste with all the music.
