Album Notes Unwieldy band name aside, Throw Me the Statue's MOONBEAMS is an all-over-the map lo-fi pop gem that finds Seattleite Scott Reitherman copping the Cars and Belle & Sebastian in equal measure. For much of MOONBEAMS, Reitherman uses everything from glockenspiels to cheap synths in a kitchen-sink approach similar to that of Sufjan Stevens, whose drummer Casey Foubert appears throughout the album.
