The Thomas Crown Affair (DVD 2000)

I have the film on Video so wanted to upgrade it to DVD. It is one of my top all time favourite films. It's really easy to watch epecially Pierce Brosnan's rear end (lol). It's a very clever story and I love the music. If you haven't seen it you have to watch it it's fab!!

I bought this DVD as i was required to watch it for a "media and crime" module for 3rd year of my degree, not for my own pleasure! However the story, although somewhat different from the 1968 version was quite enjoyable and far more applicable to the present day. The film is about a wealthy man, Thomas Crown (Brosnan), who plans and executes a plot to steal a monet painting from a famous gallery. The story invluves white-collar crime, romance and some action, although lacks the charm and sophistication of the earlier version. In all an average film, not my cup of tea, but a pleasing watch all the same!

If you like crafty films, this is one to watch, a brilliant insight into a New York billionaire who steals a high valued painting, the way in which he does it is exceptional and extremely crafty, throughout the film you will get a regular theme like this, if you like entertainment you will like this, watch out for thomas crown affair 2 being released next year aswell.

This is one of the few times when a remake exceeds the original - & considering the original hero was Paul Newman, that's no mean feat! The soundtrack is great - esp 'Sinnerman' & the photography is brilliant. The two leads make a truly WONDERFUL pair - real chemistry - very believable, & the ending is SO much better than the first film! Some good secondary characters too esp the cop on the case, & of course Faye Dunnaway! Enough tension & mystery for the men & enough romance for us girls - a great MIX!!

I love this film. I had it on video and then I got rid of the video player so I couldn't watch it anymore. I got straight onto ebay and was happy in the knowledge that in 1 hour i would have the DVD that I wanted. When it arrived I got it out the packet and watched it straight away! I loved every minute of the humour and romance! Any fans of Pierce Brosnan will love it! I highly recommend it! Stibbkid

Good film for adults - whether male or female. Interesting plot and the film ticks along at a good pace. Mild suspense mixed with realistic love interest.

This is a slick remake of an old movie, but the plot is a good one which keeps you guessing. It's well acted by Pierce Brosnan and Renee Russo. Brosnan acting as the wealthy, smooth type rather similar to his Bond role of course, but he's well suited to it.

An enjoyable movie, well worth a look

Don't wanna say too much cos will ruin story. I watched it cos my mum said it was a good film. As usual, my mum was right. (Story of my life!)

A classic film with intrigue, romance and once yours, the opportunity to watch time and time again.
