Thirteen Ghosts (DVD 2002)

This is very graphic made me jump on numerous occasions, story line quite good, acting in some scenes a bit poor but it is worth watching!!!

I found thirteen ghosts a really gripping movie, with a great storyline and amazing acting and it really does make you stick to your chair!

This is definitely worth buying and adding to your collection, it's unlikely they'll bring out a sequel as all has been said, which can be better than leaving you annoyed and thinking!

The ghosts are really well done, and really quite scary compared to a lot of other new films, the ideas are really well thought up, and how on earth this storyline was thought up of is beyond me, it keeps you thinking and is a great all round classic thriller.

Bought this dvd because I'd seen it at the cinema, and it's actually better on dvd.
Some scary moments, but the best things are the fantastic house set and the catalogue of the 13 ghosts.
The house is made of glass and lined with spells engraved into the glass walls, which shift and change making it a freaky labyrinth.
The ghosts all have a long back-story (detailed on the special features), which explains why they all called 'The Jackal' 'The Pilgrim' 'The Withered Lover' etc and are all ghosts are shot 'in camera' with no cheap blue/green screen or digitally enhanced ghoulies. Personally, in this age of 'lets bang in some CGI monsters here and there' its nice to see it done 'old style'.

Its not Oscar winning material, but if you like a good horror yarn, with some originality then give this a go.

I BROUGHT THIS DVD AS I COLLECT HORROR MOVIES AND I WAS BEGINNING TO FIND MOST OF THE NEW ONES CHEESEY AND SLOW WITH NOT ENOUGH HORROR FOR MY TASTE AND WOW IT TOOK ME BY SURPRISE IT WAS A GREAT FILM AS WAS OVER ALL TOO SOON, I HAD TO CHECK THE RUNNING TIME AS IT FELT VERY FAST. ACTION FROM THE START INSTEAD OF THE LONG HOUR OF BUILD UP THAT YOU GET IN MOST MOVIES NOWADAYS AND THE HORROR HAD PRETTY GOOD EFFECTS, SINCE BUYING THIS DVD ON EBAY I HAVE WATCHED IT OVER FIFTY TIMES AND WILL SOON NEED A NEW COPY AS IT WILL BE WORN OUT SOONER RATHER THAN LATER.WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS DVD.

This film is so good, first watched this years ago and have kept watching it. Its scary, funny and brillant graphical imaging. I advise people to watch it and you will find out yourselves, but i would not watch it alone for the first time because i jumped out of my skin when i watched this the first time.

I thought this was a good film. It wasnt the best film i had ever seen but to be honest wasnt the worst either.

Although not for the faint of heart, it's a potent -- and very tricky -- treat.

I love horror and this is one of the best remakes on the market.

A good change from normal ghost films

great film, very scary at parts, it is a must watch film. great story line and original.

I LOVE THIS FILM I THINK IVE WATCHED IT ABOUT 30 TIMES ,AND IN BLU-RAY ITS GREAT I WOULD DEFINATELY RECOMEND THIS TO PEOPLE ITS A GREAT FILM AND NOT SCARY BUT IT DOES KEEP YOU WATCHING.

This film is excellent,the special effects are amazing, its intreging yet scary i,d reccomend this to anyone who loves the weird and wonderful.

It was a really good film, very jumpy.

Captured souls are kept in glass enclosures in a house, the house is left to a family and on entering the home their nightmare begins. The ghosts get realised and terrorize the family.

A good story line.The ghosts are very scary.Don't want to spoil the plot,but a family go to live in house that was left to them ........

yet again this was another film we bought which we thought would be good as the seller said it was scary. it was quite boring and draged on abit. we would not recomend this film to any1 DONT BUY

I already have this dvd and my friend wanted one as she was unable to get a bran new one elsewhere.
i was looking on ebay and came across this so i decided to purchase this one due due to the fact it was sealed and bran new.
My friend is very happy that i got her the dvd and film we both love
