What is brilliant about this film is the way it takes you up and down throughout. Something About Mary comes at you from all angles. There is plenty of gross out humour as your would expect from the Farrelly brothers, but it also makes you laugh because you care about the characters. You WANT the boy to get the girl, and that is unusual in a comedy.
Watch out for the hairgel scene. It still makes me laugh just thinking about it.
