Queen - The Platinum Collection (Greatest Hits Vol.1-3) (CD 2006)

Went to see Mercury a cover band and although I never enjoyed Queen when I was going up (being a Northern Soul girl) I was amazed that I knew a lot of the words to their songs! Managed to get this album at a good price on Ebay and it's regularly played at high volume with my 7 year-old grandson who loves it too!

What can i say about queen, the ultimate super group simply the best ever, from the first to the last track the best ever .

Queen what can I say one of the best bands there was ever invented, all these songs are fantastic. Excellent variety of songs and a great listner ..

Some blasts from the past and some excellent callabritive work with modern artists. Even a bit of New Queen. Hours of smiles, just had to get a copy for the summer hols!

haveing been a queen fan for many years this is one of the best cds i have ever found over 3 hours of queeens hits including there christmas song it is a brill gift to give to anyone would recomend any queen fan to go out and by it.

I love Queen & their music, this collection of 3cds has all their hits, which is why I bought it. All Queens best music in one set - Excellent !!!!!!!!!!!

It highlights the large number of great tracks the band produced. It takes me back in time, in a nice way, and you realise this music will never date. As a back up to this even my childeren are singing along, now in today's world that is something.

I love Queen & their music, this collection of 3cds has all their hits, which is why I bought it. I grew up in the sixties & seventies & just adore their awsome presence on stage.

i like the fact you get 3 cd`s for one price,theres nothing to dislike its great value, i decided to get this cd because im a queen fan and saw the offer so brought it.

What more needs to said other than....amazing,''a real'' music playing,entertaining,rock band....they had so much passion,energy,and what an entertainer freddie was.....where are bands like these in todays world of back beats,rapping,and mili vanili...ummmmmm very sad.....excellent album,never get bored of listining to it,will always be a classic.

Having bought various Queen cds & found some of them disappointing due to excessive background noise & poor sound balance this set has brought back all the old memories.
I cannot fault it - the content & quality of recording is perfect.
All I can say is if you are a Queen fan buy it - in fact buy it anyway!!!

What is there not to like. The music spans generations and will continue to do so. After seeing the stage show the music seems to have more life - if this could ever be possible. Queen and Paul Rodgers does not quite have the same edge but as Freddie once said "our music could always be sung by Paul Rodgers - it suits his voice" - nuff said

If you are a Queen fan then this is definitely for you. There are three CD's in the collection which cover all areas of their work.
The first CD is their LP Greatest Hits 1, which is all their earlier work - Bohemian Rhapsody, Crazy Little Thing Called Love and We Are The Champions. The second CD is their LP Greatest Hits II, which is covering the later years - Under Pressure, Innuendo and I'm Going Slightly Mad. Finally the 3rd CD - Greatest Hits III has tracks with other singers, such as Elton John and of course Montserrat Caballe; singing with Queen. It also has tracks from individual Queen members - from work they have done on their own.
It really is a must have - even if you aren't a huge Queen fan, you will definitely have heard a lot of the songs before; and it is a great way to own the whole range of Queen from beginning to the very tragic death of Freddie Mercury.
If you are thinking of buying a Queen CD and can't decide which one to get, well I would recommend that you splash out and buy this collection - I really don't think you will regret it for one moment.

Queen Hits 1 - has 17 tracks that were off the original Hits 1 release cd.

Queen Hits 2 - also has 17 tracks that were off the original hits 2 release cd.

Queen Hits 3 - has 17 tracks previously unreleased by Queen and some renditions of Queen music by additional artists, some with the remaining band line-up.

Also on Queen Hits 3, are songs by Brian May - Driven by you, George Michael and Elton John amongst many that make up the third cd.

I bought this as there were a lot of queen songs that i liked and it made more sense to buy the box set. Queen are a band that nobody will ever come close to ever agin. Great to see all the best songs put on one album. well worth the money.
