The Orphanage: An Eerie & Frighteningly Good Must-See
This was a very atmospheric film which definitely lived up to the hype the director, following "Pan's Labyrinth" is becoming famous for: namely, for being beautiful, surreal, twisted, dark, and scary. The storyline invoked Deja Vu of The Crow, Children of the Corn, Phantom of the Opera, Poltergeist, The Shining, and other films, yet was a distinctly new and altogether gripping tale. I jumped out of my seat in shock more than once, and if you can handle that, and like the eerie weirdness this director is a master of, you'll love this film. It's frightfully good.
