When Amir abandons his friend Hassan in his darkest hour, their friendship drifts away like the proverbial kite. Years later and continents apart, Amir seeks to make amends for his cowardly behaviour... even if that means risking his own life.

Reviews Not a lot, Ebay suspended the sellers account and they went off with my money without sending the film. I rate it much less than poor - Theft would be a start. Most things I buy off ebay I've been happy with esspecaily fishing items. Review ID: 10000000008200509 Was this review helpful? It was a good likeness to the book but suggest you read the book first as trying to read the subtitles and keep an eye on what's going on can be a bit difficult to follow. Really good story line and had me in tears just like the book. The characters were just as i had imagined. Worth watching! Review ID: 10000000007877378 Was this review helpful? Report this review Review created: 28/06/08 by: I decided to buy this DVD after reading the book which was excellent. I did not think that the film could be as good as the book but it is as real as can be on film. The child actors are brilliant. I am pleased I got the DVD, well worth a look. But don't pay full price many for sale on eBay. Review ID: 10000000007726208 Was this review helpful? Report this review Despite being sub-titled for about half of the film I did not lose interest at all. A very moving story highlighting the problems of living in modern day Afghanistan under the Taliban. Excellent performances by the two young Afghan boys. It did justice to an outstanding book.
